The irony of you having a hissy fit about other people having hissy fits. Its meant to be funny right?
Obviously its not funny, its just pathetic, but its meant to be right?
A hissy fit in what way? By saying we should trust Wilder and Knill?

I agree some of the views you described might be held by people immune to reason, but the way you are instead choosing to spend your time is crying about people's opinions in the 'millennial, snowflake SJW' mould you presumably despise.
In what way is telling people to get a grip about signing a FOOTBALLER in any way 'crying'?

You want me to try and reason with people who will, in no particular order: boo him if he scores against Wednesday, 'are giving/have given their season ticket away', wouldn't support him if he got us promoted, will boo his every touch and so on and so forth?

I have much better ways to spend my time.

When fans have to reassure us all that, deposited the signing of a rather unsavoury player, they are still prepared to go to BDTBL and cheer on the rest of the team?

Plastic sheets to be handed out at the car park. Pathetic.

Do you think he went up to this kid, asked him if he was a Blade and decided to take his jaw off?

His reaction was completely unacceptable, that of a complete imbecile, but do we honestly think he wasn't prodded and provoked?

I don't know mate - given that all I have to go off are media reports (via the court hearings), I don't know otherwise. Living 175 miles away from Sheffield also means that I won't be privy to any local gossip, so no further clues there either ;) I'd say that if you wish to dispute the official account of the situation, you would be the one carrying the burden to prove that something more nuanced happened. Can you?

I have to say though, people using the same sort of line of argument as you, i.e. that there 'must have' been something more to it are being very naive. Do you honestly believe that drink fuelled unprovoked attacks do not happen? Or are you going along with that line of argument because it makes your position on the matter at hand easier to defend? I've seen with my own two eyes (and had to give statements to police) an unprovoked attack in a night club. They do happen.

Can you lot get a f**king grip please?

Chris Wilder and Alan Knill, I believe, have built up more than enough trust to allow them to sign whoever they walloping well please without too much question from the stands.

Frankly some of the comments I've seen are plain weird. Talk of giving away season tickets, losing faith in Wilder (wtf), booing him if he scores at Wednesday, still hating him if he gets us promoted etc etc etc. Are you football fans or the cast of Loose Women?

Gary Madine is a big thunderc**t. An aerial threat which we don't currently have, a bully up top, a foil for our other attacking players when things aren't going our way, an OPTION to launch it when we need to. He is a talented boy with the ball too, he certainly isn't shit, as he showed for Bolton at the lane when he treat our defence like schoolchildren for 90 minutes.

He has baggage of course he does, but so did Leon and that hasn't worked out too badly.
As for talk about him destroying the team harmony... I'm sure Chris didn't think about that at all and didn't even consider getting opinions from his last 2 managers. Warnock in paticular does not tolerate fools as doesn't Chris.

He called Billy a fat cunt, so fucking what? You'll see worse in the shoutbox on here at 5pm if he's played poorly and missed a sitter.
So he's gone down the line? He was a young, admittedly unhinged lad who got into some bother. He will have been provoked, and he obviously did something he shouldn't have but haven't we all?
He certainly hasn't been in any bother since then - people change.

If you trust Chris and Alan you'll back him just as much the sane amongst us will. If you want to carry on your fit of faux outrage carry on.

IMHO, that is the kind of emotive language that can be called crying or flouncing. Claiming the outrage is faux because you can't believe people actually hold the opinions they express.

I wouldn't waste your time mate. He even defends Madine re the assault later on in the thread. I think he may be his agent.

Well put as I’ve said before if Chris wants a cunt he can have one.

What am I missing???

Seems you've touched a nerve.

The Faux Outrage of football fans is quite something to witness..

"He called Billy a name!!" (Billy doesn't care)

"He played for Wednesday!" (So did Leon and others)

"He got in fights" (Christ, young man pist up gets in bother, what do we want? saints?)

He's coming on loan and by all accounts wants to (knowing full well the reception he'll get from the sensitive souls). If he dicks about, he'll be gone. If only I had a season ticket to not rip up.

Lol

There are people in facebook land saying they will never go to BDTBL again whilst ever Madine is there.....great support for the club....shit-houses of the highest order.

They'll go if he gets us to the premium.

Some of you bigger Blades would make a case for signing Gareth Ainsworth if it looked like happening.

Learning his trade in the lower leagues with no money, doing quite well, almost beat Spurs the other year the Cup.
Could replace Wilder when he eventually goes.

You’ve nailed that, he’s a c@nt but the potential is great..

I’m off to the station now to get my son before he boards the train to the Lake District, I’ve reconsidered the threat isn’t so high now.. he’ll be safe in Sheffield now...

Well said that man.

Anyone who doesn’t trust Chris Wilder or has an opinion of a football transfer on a football forum are all bed wetters?

Can you not see how childish that is? And bed wetting is something that children do.

Wilder is a human being, we all make mistakes, some just happen to think that signing a player who tries to win free kicks by wrestling with defenders, a first touch of a rapist and a strike rate of Connor Sammon is a mistake. It’s not hard to fathom really.

Someone give me an ounce of goodness to come from this and don’t just say he’s played well against us once so he must be good, I’ve seen him more than that and he’s barely had any impact whatsoever.

He was doing well enough for promotion chasing Cardiff to spend £6mil on last year.

Do you seriously think Cardiff spent £6M on him last year? If they did then that’s probably one of the worst value for transfers in the history of football.

I’ve already shown the stats after that move on another thread, they are very uninspiring to say the least.
