Fleck

The longer the season has gone on, the clearer it’s been how important Fleck is for us. At times it feels like he’s trying to carry the whole team over the line and into the play offs singlehandedly. I hope he gives us one more season if we don’t go up this year but the guy deserves a shot at the highest level.

He looked weak and nervous all night ,Blackman has a far greater presence.

In the last minute of injury time, he produced a really poor punch which set them up for a shot. I can't imagine he inspires confidence and it looked like Boro knew he's not great with long range efforts.

Strange when we all analyse our players many have conflicting opinions

Lunny did ok last night, but he frustrates me so much

Those sweeping 60 yd cross field balls look impressive but are often followed by a 10 yd miss-pass

Decision making sometimes not quick enough or good enough. The times he’s in a position to shoot but passes the ball sideways is more than just a coincidence. Is it lack of confidence?

His languid style of running when tracking back, gives the impression of laziness, but that’s being unfair to him

I’m being unkind to a player still possibly improving and well capable of becoming a good Chamionship player, but Ive added him to my shortlist to become my latest scapegoat :D

It was quite obvious why Flecks performance dropped off and Wilder needs questioning about that in his after match interview, no way should he have still been on the pitch with two substitutions left to use.

Hope he’s fit for Saturday!

Carry over to next season?
No but not sure if we reach the play offs. If we do, think all records are wiped out apart from the offences in the 46th league game that triggered a suspension (i.e. if Fleck gets his 15th booking at Ashton Gate then he will miss the play offs)

He was holding the backs of hist hamstrings from quite early on - as each substitute got ready to come on I presumed each time it was for Fleck.

Be very suprised if Fleck goes 3 games without picking up at least two bookings.

Two more bookings and then he is banned for 3 matches
....and all our play off contenders who we play in the run-in will know this and try to unsettle him so he misses the playoffs if we manage to get there, we have to be cute with this one.

What on earth has happened to him? The Inter Milan game he was world class.

I know Evans and Lundstram are getting some stick but Fleck was the worst of the lot last night! Absolutely awful.

He's not immune from criticism but he wasn't at fault last night, IMO. He's being played out of position, simple as. He also can't dominate a game if he's having to consciously hold back and try and cover for the other two.

You're only as good as the players around you.

If in possession you have players showing and willing to accept the ball off you, then great. Unfortunately I don't think we have players at the moment that want responsibility (or don't even want to move 5 yards) of taking the ball.

I’m not blaming him for the result I’m saying he had an absolutely terrible game like he did at Swansea.

He’s playing further forward now in the midfield 3 as Evans is meant to be sitting back. I agree Fleck dropping deeper to get the ball but his play is higher up the pitch. I think Fleck struggles without Duffy. But he was garbage last nihjt.

Square peg being hammered into a round hole by a blind carpenter

He’s like a carer on a mental wing at the moment.

He’s having to clean up the mess the two to his right are making and cover our incompetent left wing back.

When he’s finished cleaning up Lundstram who’s been sick allover himself, Evans has a shit that follows through and Stevens spills milk allover the carpet.

I, just... wow.

Graphic, yet poetic.

:D

No one will put a bid in if he has a few bad games before the window shuts.
