Flags for Saturday.

For those playing this down... other than having to give the flags back (if that's the case), which makes us look cheap, I think it's a great idea.

Remember there have been thousands and thousands of little kids who have had to endure an absolute shit show for the last year. They just like to go to the game with their mum & dad, but it's been fucking dreadful. If they're school age, they'll be getting the piss ripped out of them every monday. No worthy heroes to worship, and the guy whose name is on the back of their shirt is often getting made to look shit.

This is the stuff the kids love. Dare I say it, they are likely to see a win at BDTBL, a great performance, and they get to wave the flag of their team around with pride. Can we let them at least have this
Agree totally, but getting the kids to hand them back in afterwards isn’t right in my opinion.

Why would any kid want to take a flag home....is it to wave it around in the garden....it would be damaged and wouldn't last a week.
My view is if kids take the flags home with them...it's like throwing them in the bin wasting of money.

Makes sense to respect the club and leave them behind so other kids can enjoy them in future, instead of being selfish.

Did I hear correctly last night that 500 flags will be handed out in the family stand on Saturday. This will be done on a honesty basis and that they’ll have to be handed back in after the game? If it’s true then there’s only United that could come up with an embarrassing idea like that.
It's for kids.
We need to entice as many new fans/kids as possible.

Them clappers Huddersfield had i 2012 still piss me off

Bet that caused a few on here to spit their lentil and cucumber goulash over the screen when they clicked on that pic. 😆
Blimey, I guessing the burning cross is in the car park?

Well that is a change of heart from the club after years of discouraging people bringing flags into the ground, I expect these conform to the allowed size and relevant fire safety regulations. (Not sure what they ever thought could burn in a concrete stand) I have thought that there is no colour in the ground for a few years other than replica shirts I'm all for people waving flags and scarves etc before kick off and I miss those huge flags that used to be passed around. It all helps with the atmosphere that has gone flat at games over the last few years not just at Bramall Lane I might add but country wide.

Kids also take home, rocks, conkers, sticks, dead flowers and coming back from holiday we now have at least 4 crab claws littering our house. a flag is like striking gold for a child 😂

Most of the flags will end up on the pitch as paper airplanes.

Be better off giving out inflatable pidgeons that home in on the QPR goal when thrown.

You definitely wont see a flag on the list of goal assists.

Oh please don't let us follow Leeds with the scarves on each seat. Naff

Modern football is absolutely disgusting. Scripted atmosphere. Pathetic.
This kind of thing has been happening for years, we used to hand out balloons for big games. Nothing wrong with it imo

Mmmmm Lentil & Cucumber Goulash.

Gotta have a go at that.

Nowt, just a shame we can't get our hands on bus ticket reels anymore, they made excellent streamers.
Pinched a couple of rolls of blank receipt paper the other year in London. From a trolley outside Tesco or somet but can’t remember exactly. They got threw on when didzy scored the pen at loftus road 🥳

It’s like Oceans 11…….

We should have had boards last season, like they have at 20/20 cricket, with a 4 on one side and a six on the other.

They'd have had plenty of use, and no one would have kept them as the final score was generally a 5 or an 8. Like dominoes.
