I am not usually in favour of orchestrated fan appreciation,however,on this occasion i am prepared to go along with it.This is because the absolute shit we had to endure last season deserves some acknowledgement from the club and kids love this flag waving stuff.To be honest all those who renewed their season tickets before they were aware of the total revamp of the playing staff have my total admiration,and PA should really apologise personally for the half hearted attempt the club made to be competative in the Premier league last season.

Did I hear correctly last night that 500 flags will be handed out in the family stand on Saturday. This will be done on a honesty basis and that they’ll have to be handed back in after the game? If it’s true then there’s only United that could come up with an embarrassing idea like that.

Much as I have a dislike for orchastarted football support and atmosphere , we have to accept that the games moved on .
When people are paying a tidy sum for themselves and a couple of kids clubs have to accommodate everyone and make it a full afternoon , be that fanpark , entertainment, flags etc .
My experience doesn't change , a few pints with mates and pop to the match. They could have anything before 2.50 and it makes no difference to me but if it adds to someone's day then fine .
