Did I hear correctly last night that 500 flags will be handed out in the family stand on Saturday. This will be done on a honesty basis and that they’ll have to be handed back in after the game? If it’s true then there’s only United that could come up with an embarrassing idea like that.

I agree, although trying to wrestle anything back off my 4 year old puts my life at risk. Not sure how many will get returned (or if returned, safe for reuse!)

Much as I have a dislike for orchastarted football support and atmosphere , we have to accept that the games moved on .
When people are paying a tidy sum for themselves and a couple of kids clubs have to accommodate everyone and make it a full afternoon , be that fanpark , entertainment, flags etc .
My experience doesn't change , a few pints with mates and pop to the match. They could have anything before 2.50 and it makes no difference to me but if it adds to someone's day then fine .

For those playing this down... other than having to give the flags back (if that's the case), which makes us look cheap, I think it's a great idea.

Remember there have been thousands and thousands of little kids who have had to endure an absolute shit show for the last year. They just like to go to the game with their mum & dad, but it's been fucking dreadful. If they're school age, they'll be getting the piss ripped out of them every monday. No worthy heroes to worship, and the guy whose name is on the back of their shirt is often getting made to look shit.

This is the stuff the kids love. Dare I say it, they are likely to see a win at BDTBL, a great performance, and they get to wave the flag of their team around with pride. Can we let them at least have this
