I've had a quick squizz and the first Tuesday/Wednesday available is 1st/2nd April.

I don't envy the person responsible for sorting out the fixture list!

We have four spare midweeks in April.
By Sunday teatime we will probably be sat wondering what all the fuss was about.

But have the people we're playing got those days free?

7 or 8 weeks of 2 games per week, hope they're indoors at the academy doing some fitness work.

Apart from Brentford all our matches are already scheduled in aren't they?
Matches that could potentially be postponed if we continue in the cup are Rotherham and Oldham.
They are both pretty much up to date with their fixtures, so we can slot them in easily enough.

If we draw in the Quarter Final and need a replay, the Preson game could be brought forward to Sat 15th March.
If we draw against Forest, the Colchester game would be postponed which could potentially give us and them a problem, fair enough.

I still think it's highly unlikely we will need to play 4 more matches in the Cup.
If we do, bringing the Preston game forward is a possible solution.
If we had played on the pitch tonight and ruined it, it could have made future postponements more likely.

Does the cup final have to be played at the end of the season?

Can see them having to put it back to accommodate us

Swindon will be off as well if they beat Peterboro' in the JPT.

If Swindon win and Forest is PP'd on Sunday and then drawn and then won, we've got major problems. That could leave us needing to re-arrange 4 or 5 matches.

Would that be the first time ever when the football authorities had said 'Sorry Mr Murdoch but you can't do what you want'?

Lots of possible dates as above but these postponements have to stop.February and March can bring frozen grounds especially in the third tier with no underground heating to help them. The police even cancel games for surrounding walkways being slippery.

Even in that unlikely scenario we can fit them in and the players would get the Swindon weekend off to recover.

I thought that cup replays took precdence over league games. Even televised ones?

The early forecasts are for a worse storm next Thursday. My OP was assuming the weather continued as it was, or turned to snow meaning further postponements.

If the person sorting the re-arranged fixtures does not have a crystal ball. or even two, Bless him.her Why should it have to be ended by a date on the calendar? Lots of time before we mount our assault to the next league (or not)

Our next free slot is 8th April so I'm guessing it'll be then (Rotherham haven't got a game pencilled in either).
