NoYou already know the answer to that? Surely?![]()
We had 4 debutants against Notts County in David Weir's first game:When was the last time we had that many in a competitive game and won the match?
I meant those who played for our AcademyWe had 4 debutants against Notts County in David Weir's first game:
Lyle Taylor
Stephen McGinn
Conor Coady
Febian Brandy
I know that doesn't answer your question![]()
Probably never then.I meant those who played for our Academy
If you mean 4 debutants all stepping up from the academy to make their debut in a game which wasn't a friendly... i would say most likely never...I meant those who played for our Academy
We had 5 last nightIf you mean 4 debutants all stepping up from the academy to make their debut in a game which wasn't a friendly... i would say most likely never...

We didnt win and it wasnt a competitive match!
Thanks, the queue was much longer at 4pm than I thought it would be. Trouble was that I was driving my mum, sister and daughter back from Shiregreen and I told them that I wouldnt be too long. The car park stewards wouldnt let me park my car temporarily in Cherry Street car park so I found a spot at Shoreham Street. When I saw the long queue I was hoping that there might be a shorter queue for picking up tickets that were already bought. The ticket office attendant said "No" so I decided to go back Dronfield and then leave for the match after tea much earlier than planned. When I got back to the car park around 6.30pm , the queue was much shorter and then I was told that there is a kiosk for ticket collections further down so it didnt take me long to pick up the ticket from the kiosk.Silent Blade . You should have stood with me in the queue yesterday. I would have told those around me you had spent a hour parking the car.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the answer was “never”. Possibly before WW2 or maybe in an early JPT game (I remember the likes of McAllister and Philiskirk Jnr playing in those when we were in L1). When you consider we’re not even a Cat 1 academy we’re doing very well at the moment. When was the last time we had that many in a competitive game and won the match?
We do have a great academy it is just a pity that the first team never get the benefit of all the up and coming talent coming through . Other clubs don't have no problem pinching them for next to nothing. As for the blades is it me or are there others who are pissed off with the club being linked to players who never arrive. there must have been a dozen or more in the last 12 months who we were told they are on their way and end up somewhere else . Latest one has signed for Stoke , If we can not compete with Stoke for players why should be bother .I wouldn’t be surprised if the answer was “never”. We beat Rotherham 1-0 in 2014 with 6 academy graduates but it wasn't all their debuts:
Long
Kennedy
Maguire
Dimaio
Khan
Reed
It's been a while since we played with so many graduates to be honest
Possibly in the Kenworthy, Ludlum, Edwards era? When was the last time we had that many in a competitive game and won the match?
No, the only player out of three you mentioned that won on his debut was Kenworthy. 3-1 at Norwich. Stainrod (his debut was the 5-0 defeat at Spurs the previous week) scored in that match and is still the youngest ever Blade scorerPossibly in the Kenworthy, Ludlum, Edwards era?
