Not at all ashamed to say my player for this decade is Sir Chris Porter.

Edwards
Bryson
Deane
Jags
Could be Fleck if he carries on doing what he's doing for a while longer

Am I odd in that I have never "worshipped" a player? I think the first player I had real respect for was Stan, though I always consider Hodges my favourite, so I probably have to answer Hodges.

In keeping with Bayingblade 's sensible answer; boyhood crush - Clare Grogan.

As a kid in the junior Blades it was Alan Woodward.

As a teenager it was also Debbie Harry. Blondie, Parallel Lines :-)

Mick Jones, Woody, TC, Trevor Hockey, Sabella, Agana, Ooh Aah Sir Bob......bloody hell, I could just keep listing them!

Boyhood crush...Joanna Lumley as Purdy in the Avengers!

Michael brown for me. Always had a soft spot for peter ndlovu and Steve kabba too

Borbokis, Kelly and for some reason Gareth Taylor, were all favourites of mine during my first season as a kid.

J Flo - I know he was limited but he was a regular international when Norway were decent.

J Fjorttoft - Quality and had the aeroplane celebration.

Must have a thing about Norwegians

No idea why but as a very little lad Trenton Wiggan was my favourite.

Growing up, Brian Deane was the best player I've seen at BDTBL but his legendary status in my eyes was somewhat tarnished when I met him a few times at the old Music Factory and found him to be conceited, arrogant and rude. In contrast Tony Agana, was one of the most pleasant, approachable and friendly guys I've met.

Deane and Agana first off largely because I was very young and was repeatedly told they were the star men. As I got a little older and started to actually watch the games (instead of fighting and messing about with my brother on the kop), Deano, Whitehouse and Kelly. I used to play in goal as a kid so kind of hero-worshipped Kelly. Loved Dane for his supreme bladeyness and Deano remains the best player I've seen in a blades shirt.

Deane.

Still worship him to this day. Aged 34 (and half :p).

My 4 year old son has been force fed Deano stories, videos and memrobila (he has a 1989/90 Shoot! poster of Deane on his wall).

Deane is to me what Currie is to my Dad. Symbolic of an era.
