Mine has to be Simpkins, centre, front of John Street. Been there for years now and no idea what it is they do.

'Cantors turn your house into a home', wonder if these lads have any money left or if sponsoring United broke them.

I had a tin of boiled sweets bought me once from the club shop with the logo on and they were Simpkins. Not bad.

Housleys are still down Effingham road, dealing in general scrap metals and car spares.
The even have a website the wonderfully named GBH car spares

I can answer that as my Dad had the contract for decorating all their stores. In the late 80's they were doing very well and bought about 25 additional stores when Queensway (remember them?) collapsed and continued to grow with more new stores on Retail Parks around the country. Then around 1997, they were bought out by Harveys with the Head Office on Queens Road closing shortly after. The MD and Directors did very well out of it, not so sure about the staff.

Simpkins sweets are the thing to have in the glovebox of your car. Great to revive you on a long car journey.
Or soothe your throats after another home match.....

I used to be a big fan of the Henry Boot one on Bramall Lane upper tier, by the clock. Sadly no longer with us.

My favourite advertising board is the one Leon kicked when celebrating a goal against Palace in his dark days in the crucial relegation decider at Hillsborough, breaking his toe and forcing him off. I know some think he redeemed himself of his past on bouncing day but for me he was a hero from that point on:D:D:D

I'd never have had enjoyed considering the multiple pleasures of owning an aluminium canal boat had it not been for BDTBL advertising bringing me the idea

I once had the pleasure of visiting the Simpkins factory on business in the 80s. A lovely little firm it was. Sorry to disappoint some of you, but it's tucked away just off Hillsborough corner!

I really liked the D Taxis advert at Swillsborough, so much so that I keep calling them when I need a lift home. They never show up though :( , perhaps they made a mistake with the phone number

owners are pig fans too

Hating all things from Sheffield 6 including businesses, residents, buildings, drainage, wildlife and poultry, in my days as a postman to the Simpkins factory I used to have to walk up the stairs to the office to deliver mail, on the stairs was a big bowl of sweets in a shelf that were free. Everyday I’d take way more than you should... I mean literally clear the bowl out all in loyalty to my Sheffield United roots. A one man crusade to slowly eradicate s6 and all the peasents and vermin that live within it. History will judge me on the right side at these small attempts when time team x Ray my teeth in 400 years
