SSN BREAKING NEWS: Terrorist Supporting Hooligan Buys Blades
Prince must have been pretty damn sure of winning the court case to be prepared to push that through.Exactly right.
Because maybe he kept some things back knowing full well what kind of person he is up against. It's not like KMC has been all nicey nicey is it?
He's been trying to slate Prince Abdullahs character from the outset.
The latest salvo being the "I'm not sure he's a suitable person to be running a premier League club"
Prince must have been pretty damn sure of winning the court case to be prepared to push that through.
Maybe that’s why he’s only been to one game since 2013? Had a banning order.Need more info about the fight.....

Its called respect. What are you bleating on about?
Not really jim though is it?Oooooooohhhhh!
After all these years, we’ve finally got an owner who’s a good man in a ruck...
He was explaining why he doesn't come to many games. He said that he prefers to watch the games on his own with no distractions, and hates people talking to him after we've lost. Said that when we lost the 3 goal lead against Villa he had stomach ache for three days, and last year when at Al Hilal he got into a fight after a loss. I think he was implying that he's not the kind of chairman who turns up so that he can get his face on TV - he's a proper fan.
Predictive text did offer “rucksack”....Sorry I just read that as "we've finally got an owner that looks good in a rucksack"![]()
It is.Not really jim though is it?![]()
Wtf? They’ve literally posted it all on fucking twitter. Its called respect.
He was very clear that the club should always be called Bramall Lane. He did wonder whether, if we got significant money for it, the name might be "Bramall Lane in association with....". I thought his answer was perfectly reasonable & he was clear he'd need to discuss with the fans, but some people walking out seemed to be trying to make an issue of it.
I assume he had to guarantee the best part of 17million plus wages as well.

Just got back, here's a few notes:
Generally a positive atmosphere. There were a handful of very funny moments.
Prince said mostly similar things to what he's been saying all week.
Wilder very positive.
Both Wilder and Prince respectful of Kev & his contributions to the club.
Prince will not be bringing in more investment. However he talked a few times about sponsorship and he clearly thinks he can bring in money that way.
Wants the club to be self-sufficient. Will not be going crazy on fees as that doesn't buy success - see Fulham - but is prepared to back the manager. Wilder was also keen to stress how important he thinks it is that we are sensible & said that he'd walked away from deals in the summer over £. Both said they'll look at bringing in a couple of players in Jan if that helps the team.
Prince confirmed that the plan is for the club to own the ground.
Prince's daughter will be on the board. She plays football and will be looking after the women's team.
Didn't commit to timescales for developing the ground.
Edit: made it very clear we will not be leaving BDTBL.
A few more highs and lows. The jokes were very funny but perhaps you had to be there:
"The fans at Al Hilal often say that I am number one. Although not always with the same finger."
A Senior Blade asked the Prince a question that frankly even I struggled to understand properly, and he just deadpanned "I think I'll let Chris answer that one".
The 26 year old Chairman introduced himself by saying "Just to be clear, I'm not your new centre forward".
Getting into a fight at the game, as has been mentioned above.
Possibly the funniest bit of the night was the brilliant question from someone about whether his mate could have McCabe's season ticket.
--
The doom mongers can panic over the following bits:
The Prince dodged the question about raising season tickets prices, although he did say something about the fans being the "heart of the club".
He was a little equivocal about his wealth but it's clear we're not going down the high-spending route just because he's related to billionnaires. Which I'm entirely OK with.
That said, who knows if the focus on sponsorship means we'll end up with some dodgy Ethiad-type deals.
Said the academy needs to be improved, but seemed to suggest that moving to category 1 wouldn't be a good idea because of the pull from places like Manchester.
There are some simple wins in reassurance that could be provided:
I think the top two (and possibly the third) have previously been mentioned by the Prince in his long interviews with James Shield. If all the above were made I think it would go some way to calm a few down.
- Commitment to remain at the Lane
- Commitment to not interfere with footballing matters
- Commitment to build the Academy further
- Commitment to build new training facilities and develop the Kop
You can add the Women’s team to this too, though given that one of the Prince’s team is one of their directors I’ve not really got why the assumption is that the Prince will try and apply Saudi culture into a UK club.
