I'd forgotten how impressive that response isWhilst our players should have shown more self control, I hope the FA take account of the provocation.
Sounds a bit childish but they started it

I’d love to like this a thousand times. The twats, sorry, the refs are never made to explain themselves, they get away with all sorts. The irony is the club is charged with failing to control the players, when in fact it all stems from the fact that the referee failed to control the players.
Had he done his job it wouldn’t have happened.
Maybe he should pay the fine.
Can anyone confirm whether a points deduction is possible ?I make that four charges over 19 games this season. That's quite impressive. I don't think (it's hard to find any evidence either way) that the punishment can extend to points deductions but we must be testing the patience of the FA.
Wrexham (H): they score a consolation goal in the 93rd minute. Peck gets to the ball in the back of the net first, Wrexham players come steaming in to get it. Melée ensues. £8,500 fine.
Watford (H): Jebbison tangles with Souttar just after Hamer takes out one of their players to stop a counter. Players from both sides pile in. £17,000 fine.
Portsmouth (A): Seriki is taken out bursting through but the referee blows for full time before we can take the kick. Souza, in particular, is incensed. Portsmouth's keeper gets involved unnecessarily. Both teams pile in. £40,000 fine.
Coventry (A): Ahmedhozic reacts to some classic shithousery from Norman Bassatte and is sent off just before half time. Melée ensues in the tunnel, presumably centred around Bassatte. Sanction to be determined but it might well be £100k.
Do we have a problem? Or are we just unfortunate? It's good that the players stick up for each other but maybe we need a few calmer heads at times. The Wrexham incident was sparked by their players piling in unnecessarily but the Watford incident was probably caused by our players. Pompey was down to the incompetence of the referee; Coventry was our players reacting to Bassatte
We have no idea of the severity of the incident, who did what.etc etc. impossible to say what a fine might be or who should be liable. The players should have to pay any fine of this type
This one could be 6 figures
Just been having a search online. As far as I have read, points deductions are for financial irregularites. Can anyone confirm whether a points deduction is possible ?
I know it's a counsel of perfection but when it's obvious the players are incensed , the manager & coaches should get on the pitch + get them together , allow the Coventry players to get down the tunnel + guide our lot in afterwards.
It was bound to kick off in the tunnel if you let them mix.
Can anyone confirm whether a points deduction is possible ?
Thanks Silent , that is really useful to know.Manchester United–Arsenal brawl (1990) - Wikipedia

Meanwhile the winking Coventry cheat is free to go on his way with no sanction. Even some on this thread suggesting he should be a role model for how to play against us.
Not everything about the modern game is rubbish, but there are very large parts that are.
..you will be lucky to find anyone to hear you !!Take passion out of the game, along with tackling , common sense and entertainment. Heading will be next. I would like 5 minutes in the FA head office.
If today’s rules were applied to that match, more than one would have walked on that day.
In hackets view nothing from the fa (he's. a pig )
No fa charge up to now ,was nothing in itHow far can we push this before it gets a little more serious for us?
We must be by far-and-away the most ill-disciplined club in the EFL?
Must say though, the fines seem a little trigger-happy. There wasn't much in it at Swansea?
Seems a bit silly to be fining sides every time there's a push & a shove...

It’s nonsense really. Players are expected not to react when an opposition player is ridiculously late into a challenge? How far can we push this before it gets a little more serious for us?

For me it was the referee that failed to control the situation, the tackle was over the top and clearly a red card, the first thing the referee does is charges into the "melee" and gets involved trying to separate players, if anything he was causing more aggro than the players were. Then he issues the red card whilst in the middle of it all like it was a big rush. First thing he should have done was blown his whistle, and kept on the outside, tooting away like a steam train, players would have walked away if he verbally said he is gone. For some reason the red card is the first indication to the players, that is the referee's intention rather than talking first. The cards are there for people not in the vicinity i.e. fans, managers and other players so they are aware of what is going on however on that one you give the whistle a few blast and start talking. Plus there was nothing in it other than a couple of pushes and 2 of them were started by the referee barging in.
Does it now seem Keith knownowt hacket is running the fa deciplinery panelor is just a football site contributor
