Failure to control our players

Another charge for Tuesdays bust up at the end
6 figure fine incoming
No doubt picking on us, but players should pay, take it out of the fucking idiots wages
West Brom v Pigs 16 man bust up at the end, Bartley red carded, no charge
Does seem like our players seem to struggle in controlling themselves on these occasions.

Can't stand Robinson anyway but thick twat seems to enjoy a feyt.

Can't believe we've activated a clause to extend his contract. Was looking forward to getting rid of the useless nobhead.

Robinson 100% the main culprit here & as captain and knowing our terrible record this season he should behave better. He’s lucky the ref did not see his action at the end as that would probably have been at least a yellow card if not red. Club should fine him.

It showed on my Skysports app he'd been yellow carded in the 98th min which I presume is for that but it could and probably should've been more. Stupid from him to even put himself at risk, especially as captain

I think the annoying thing is there was no need for it. Ok the ref hasn't given us a penalty, even Wilder didn't think any of the appeals were valid, so our players start wrestling with theirs. The ref has made his decision, he's not going to change it so get on with it. If they'd played with that aggression for the previous 89 minutes, we might have won the game.
Absolutely pointless.

Not only that, what he did was arguably worse than what Anel got sent off for away at Coventry so he was a very lucky boy. Our disciplinary along with our fitness needs to improve dramatically for next season no matter what league we are in. He shouldn’t be captain either.

Which worries me about Sunday! Wednesday will know about some of our players on short fuses! And will try anything to reduce us to 10.

He got carded for it along with a City player (not the lad he assaulted).

We can blame the league for picking on us, or we can blame individual players.

Ultimately, though, the fact that this keeps happening tells us very clearly that it’s a cultural problem within the club, which should have been gripped but hasn’t.

I’ll get pelters from the usual suspects for saying it, but that’s down to the management.

Robbo should pay the club fine from his wages, his actions were stupid and pointless and it’s not the first time with him.

The fine is probably the equivalent of 300 season tickets. Pretty galling to know that 300 people have stumped up their hard-earned money and gone without other stuff just to cover the cost of a player throwing a tantrum.

I don’t see that they’re picking on us at all. Our players keep doing it. It’s up to the club to get on top of it. I’d be taking all the fines other than the first one (because they should have learned after that one) out of the players and manager/coaches bonus pools.

No we’re not being picked on, but we certainly have these flash points in games which seem to generate a full team reaction from both sides.

I think the Wrexham one at the start of the season was the one where I’d say it was entirely their doing. Probably a couple of others where it’s been a bit of a moment for one player which sparks it.

But mostly these incidents are absolutely nothing and get dealt with quickly on the pitch with a soft booking or two. Refs seem to just pick two players, book them both and then it’s a quick admin job for him. No real care for the ref to pick out the culprit, just like the wrestling at corners, the ref makes his mind up and then it’s done with.

Yet it’s not done with as it gets reported and just doubles for each incident regardless of what actually happened. It’s a strange way to deal with it.

I’m pretty sure that the club really couldn’t give a shit about it and probably just see it as an occupational hazard.

They're all knackered until it comes to fighting time, then it's like my kids at bedtime, all the energy in the world.

When you put it like that it makes it so much worse. It won't cost our wealthy footballers anything when it should come from the squad and management wages.

Not sure that level of abuse to Robinson is warranted.

My view is he’s not good enough for the Blades if we are looking to build a squad for the next 1-3 years.

He is picked by the Manager so will play to his ability, which is limited.

I will support him as long as he pulls on the Blades jersey.

Pity it wasn't a red, would have missed the next game! lol

Ha so Egan-Riley has had his red card rescinded so he's free to play again and no mention of any fines for Burnley for their big fraccas after the final whistle (bigger than any of ours have been).
It’s double standards mate, always has been where we are concerned, not saying we haven’t done anything wrong this season because we have but nothing seems to happen to other clubs, especially the turtle necked collared cunts side.

I agree with most of that, however it's becoming harder to support him I feel. Don't forget, he's the captain and personally I feel his actions on these occasions are not what I want from my captain , firm and backing your team mates up yeah, but losing control and sparking things off? Nah.

But that tackle to put Hirakawa out of the game was a cracker. He’ll remember that for a long time.

This thread has become increasingly ridiculous, but this takes first prize. "How can I frame the most innocuous, irrelevant event to seem as bad as possible and get people outraged."

Just gone back to look at the highlights from the end of the Burnley game & although I’m not at all surprised that Egan -Riley had his red overturned - i cannot understand why the EFL would not charge Burnley & WBA with loss of control of players. Same shit going on (mostly handbags) as at a few of our games.

Will be interested to hear if Scott Parker also has his red overturned….if so that would confirm again same ridiculous favouritism his teams seem to get from the officials / authorities.
