Pretty sure the subject of Elland Road v. Wembley was brought up in the House of Commons.

I think that everyone who signed the petition got an official letter from Graham Kelly, the Chief Executive of the FA at the time.

quite interesting reading into this because I wasn't even 3 at this time yet & my football memories don't start til 1997, so I have zero knowledge of this. i would've assumed that they both kicked off at 3pm. but interesting that both semi finals were that early because now prime time for football is always late afternoon kickoffs at 4pm - 5pm. but we were 1pm on sky sports & not even on national radio as that was taken over by the grand national. then arsenal v spurs was a midday kick off

Paid £70 for a dodgy ticket off a tout, only to find I was in the very back row behind the goal in the Blades end. Piss poor seat and performance to boot.

Queue for tickets was out of the car park and round the corner. Got lucky as I had 2 ways to pay. They said move forward to a different queue to pay by card, so go very close to the front. Chatting to people and got cleared by security to go to the chippy and back before they opened.

For the match the spectacular balloons prior to kick off hasn't been brought uo yet. And the big flags.

Was in Blades end behind the goal, one of them big flags making it's way round. Had a pig next to me, lobbed his cig onto it.
"Really bright trick that" I said.

Rivals Chelsea '94 for being gutted for me. We were shite and should have been 4 down at HT. Only Kelly's brilliance kept us in it. We played Whitehouse far too deep to negate Sheridan but it had the opposite effect of inviting pressure and ensuring the player they most feared was nowhere near their goal.
My first experience of SUFC freezing on the big day. It wouldn't be my last.

Remember that day like yesterday. Me and my mate got train from midland station, got the first one, sheffield centre was busy at 5am! Remember sitting down and that tw@t waddle scoring that free kick Also us blades were singing the loudest on the tube back into london despite losing. Some piggies got seats in our end, saw a bit of kick off when they were busted

Watched it with a group of friends, the father of one of them had waited years to see United come out at Wembley. Unfortunately he missed it as one of our flags was being passed over his head at the time. He would have loved the football we play now.

Can't remember how I got there, or how I got back. What I do remember is utter devastation. Was also there on Boxing Day in 79 but the Wembley semi is by far the most upset I've ever been watching the Blades.

"Tank" as he was known where we stood. Hard but fair as they used to say, saw him play Nat Lofthouse out the game at Burnden Park, Yes God Bless him 110%er always gave of his best good, memories.

Semi Final 93, travelled on a South Yorkshire Transport double decker. Seats could have been better for such along journey but surprisingly a decent ride and made good time both ways. Great atmosphere around Wembley, seats 3rd row from back almost centre line on left as you come out of tunnel. Good view but a bit like being in an attic and didn't quite get the full effect of the unique "Sheffield derby" atmosphere with probably the largest crowd, ever, for a Sheffield derby.
Game was what it was as someone's already said Blades never turned up, sad to say, we've moved on eventually.Day out at Wembley,found this photo a couple of years a go. what a surprise, feller in glasses was a regular in one of our locals many years past.
