Don't remember the year (mid 70s). As a young lad my very first away match on the supporters with my dad and uncle, versus Leicester. We got hammered 3-0, But my lasting memory was of TC smashing a free kick against one of the glass fronted boxes behind the goal, because someone was giving him less than complementary hand gestures.
1989!. Hadn't realised the Norwich FA cup match was that long ago.Memorable game.My dog died the day before and I cried all the way thereLoved going to West Ham for a night match when I was 16 even though we did lose 4-0. Also the 5th round tie at Norwich in 1989 was amazing even though we lost 3-2.
We were abysmal in my first years watching Utd, we never seemed to get past the third round. Loved my first real cup run when we frightened Norwich to death at their place as a third division side.
If I remember rightly they put a million pound bid in for Deane and Agana on the back of that.....?
Home match against Burscough 1979? won 3-0 i think...only 8 or 9 thought it was fantastic.
Burscough was technically an away match but we switched it to Bramall Lane.Home match against Burscough 1979? won 3-0 i think...only 8 or 9 thought it was fantastic.
One that sticks out is from the 02-03 season, the 4-3 vs Ipswich in the 4th round.
Absolutely mad game. Goals from Michael Brown on his 26th birthday, Jags and Brown again (spectacular volley, similar to the one vs pigs)
In 2nd half Ipswich brought on the two Darrens - Bent and Ambrose, and after our third there were 3 goals in 5 minutes for Ipswich, inc a penalty, and unbelievably they were level.
Thankfully Peschi scored in the last minute to send us through..
My best FA Cup memory has to be the Coventry QF replay in 98
Holdworths last minute equaliser, pitch invasion after winning on pens, Alan Kelly saving a hat trick of penalties on St Patricks day. I was pretty young at the time but still have fantastic memories of that day!
My mate broke his arm in the Coventry game. When Holdsworth equalised he somehow got it stuck behind a seat and we all jumped on him. He was screaming but we were just hugging him thinking he was just celebrating the goal
I had a scrapbook when I was younger and I remember when we beat Man Utd 2-1 when Hodges scored and I got my dad to buy about 20 papers after to put in my scrapbook. I've no idea where the book is now but would love to dig it out in my mum's house cos there were loads of great memories in there
Also remember losing 2-1 to QPR when Warnock put Haidong on and basically went for the lose
My first Blades match.
Did you collect 'View from opposition fans in their local papers' in those daysI had a scrapbook when I was younger and I remember when we beat Man Utd 2-1 when Hodges scored and I got my dad to buy about 20 papers after to put in my scrapbook. The best and worse memory comes from the same match, and I'm astounded that it has not been mentioned on here, although it is probably understandable because we it hasn't been forgotten by one side of the city, and it was a game that was a once in a lifetime experience, and a game not many people under the age of 30 will remember and that was the Wembley Semi in 1993.

I work with a Villa season ticket holder who has been going thirty odd years. The Villa park trip the other year. The game that set us on the way to Wembley. I've never gone more mental for a goal than when Flynny smashed in our 2nd. The away end was fucking bedlam for 2 minutes.
