Question to all the financially savvy Blades out there, how much would the club be looking at when you factor in:

- FA Cup Prize Money
- Ticket Sales
- TV Money
- The assumption of a sold out, televised Sheffield Derby semi-final?

That's £382 500 on prize money alone, which almost doubles if we win the QF. If we win the QF then we're guaranteed another £450 000 even if we lose the semi final, plus our share of receipts too. Best case scenario then, you would think, if we get to Wembley and lose, we should be £1.5m + better off then we thought.

"To date". Just so people understand what you mean ;)[/quote]

Yes, should have added 'to date.' We almost double our prize money if we beat Charlton.

In the "good old days" the gate money for the FA Cup used to be divided three ways: home team, away team, and the FA. I don't know whether this still applies, and if it does, whether TV money is also split three ways. Presumably the third which goes to the FA is used for the prize fund and other expenses.

Lose the final to Man City or Arsenal and I'd not be surprised if either club treated like the play off losers - give us their share as well?

Thing is, whatever we receive from our cup run, where is it destined to end up? As past of our transfer kitty, or to miraculously vanish and end up on holiday with the Tevez money?

With madeinsheffield on this one, if we have to pay more to secure Brayford we should. The guy is quality and lift's everyone's spirits. Along with Scougall we're beginning to see a team worthy of the badge UTB

Updated version of my previous post

The Arsenal v Everton tie is on the saturday at midday and both teams will receive £247,500 from television rights with the winner pocketing a further £360,000 http://www.thefa.com/news/the-fa-cup/2014/feb/arsenal-everton-game-live-on-itv-180214

So far we have won £382,500 from the FA in prize money alone plus £216,000 (£72,000 each game) from the TV games v Cambridge and Fulham which has put a nice £598,500 into the bank.

no its me saying we are at home v one of two championship strugglers so the wins a good bet
I put its 360k prize money , which is self explanatory , in boxing the prize money speaks for itself
