But as a 53 year old man the outpouring of emotion after that overturned decision made me feel slightly embarrassed afterwards. The vitriolic goading, beckoning, pointing, gesticulating.......I did the lot.

I'm 61, have a responsible and quite stressful job, and a relatively sedate lifestyle (now!). I really enjoy the juvenile posturing and vitriolic goading, as I can't/don't act like that outside football, and last night was one of those times when the emotion, from elation to misery to elation again, almost in seconds, was brilliant! I sang "United hate fuckin' Cockneys" with a lot of gusto!!

Could not agree more.

I fall well and truly into the middle aged normal bloke category, until I get to Lane. Standing at the back of the kop, singing, screaming, jumping up and down, I also like to commit a section 5 public order offence about every 5 minutes.

Theres something that a lot of people forget about the 2006 relegation season is that Rob kosluk scored a dramatic late equaliser against west ham at Upton park which was disallowed, and that was a perfectly good goal imo costing us a point which would've saved us, and put west ham deep in the shit. So i dont give a flying fuck whether their goal should've been allowed or not, it wasn't so dry your eyes mate.

As ever Silent Blade has it spot on, still 51 years is not bad going maybe Sky got a bit mixed up in 1968 we did beat them 2-1 in the FAcup but that was at Upton Park.
