I wouldn’t say it's a great time for a professional Athelete, he probably just had a steady plod, only he will know that. That’s a great time and although it’s one of the faster courses it has a lot of runners getting in your way it’s one of the largest in the uk over 1000 runners at a time
I've done 120+ parkruns in loads of different places. Endcliffe was a bit too busy for me with some cramped places to run and the only place where I saw young 'uns being berated by parents for not running fast enough. I found that more than a bit desperate, Rupert and Poppy getting done for not running hard enough. I did a handful there and sacked it off. The cafe did an excellent bacon sarnie though. That’s a great time and although it’s one of the faster courses it has a lot of runners getting in your way it’s one of the largest in the uk over 1000 runners at a time
Locke Park (Barnsley) has a very good set up with a decent Cafe too. Enjoy after completing an slightly Undulating course.I've done 120+ parkruns in loads of different places. My favourite pr was Rother Valley due to it being as flat as some of my favourite vinyl and the reliably excellent chocolate flapjack afterwards.
I once did one in Devon on a national trust place. I was looking forward to a scone with clotted cream and jam on it after the run. Imagine my horror when they hadn't got any on sale and were only just starting to bake them for that day.
What a con that was!

I can recommend Dalby forest park run (despite the weird dog start, which 100 years ahead of everyone else).I've done 120+ parkruns in loads of different places. Monsal is a lovely fast course as is Millhouses I’ve ruptured my Achilles it happens when you get older I’ll probably not run again this year think I’ll stick to gardeningI've done 120+ parkruns in loads of different places. War without tears. That’s a hilly course did that in the winter it was like It’s a knockout
This is the kind of bullshit that makes me not run in the first place. I can shove as many scones into my disgusting fat fucking face from the comfort of my sofa, thank you very much.I once did one in Devon on a national trust place. You're welcome! Carry on gorging my friend. This is the kind of bullshit that makes me not run in the first place. I can shove as many scones into my disgusting fat fucking face from the comfort of my sofa, thank you very much.
Hark at you! Well done.Proud to say I have a trophy for being the 100,000th Hillsborough parkrun finisher.
I can’t explain but all those names sound made up.Good to see an ex Blade (Stephen Quinn) doing the Endcliffe Parkrun yesterday. Not a bad time for a new starter, I also do this parkrun (but quite a bit slower!)
I wouldn’t believe that number - you know how they exaggerate in S6Proud to say I have a trophy for being the 100,000th Hillsborough parkrun finisher.
They'd tek more though.Proud to say I have a trophy for being the 100,000th Hillsborough parkrun finisher.
Agree with all that. Did that one, once. It's a beautiful setting but we were staying in Harrogate for the weekend and went back to the accomodation for breakfast.I’m making a note of these ‘flat’ Parkrun courses, for future reference. Currently have an age grading the same as Quinny’s first effort, but wouldn’t mind seeing how I’d get on with a flat deck.
My weekly Parkrun is Fountains Abbey. Stunning location but definitely one to categorise as ‘undulating’ The first km is flat but the second is a gradual incline for the entire km. You can get back up to speed through the third and fourth km which are predominantly flat but then you have to dig in for another incline for the last 700 metres to the finish.
Superb sausage sandwiches.
I can confirm that Castle park run is a bit of a twat, but enjoyable all the same as it’s not too busy.Concord is my home run and I have over 100 there, lovely cafe.
Castle is one of my favourites’ lovely views over the city, but it is very hilly and sadly no cafe.
I’ve never seen any celebrities of any kind at either.
Sadly my running career has been put on hold as I’m waiting for a knee replacement and an op to fuse the arthritic bones in my foot. I’m not sure I’ll ever run again but there is always cake.
I only did Concord the once. I got a tricky knee injury there, nothing to do with the course, just happened, and didn't go back. I haven't yet done Castle either and it's two years since my last Sat morning 5k, so getting the itch to go again.Concord is my home run and I have over 100 there, lovely cafe.
