Glad they've turned their attention away from David Brooks on to whoever David Brookes is.

I think if he's in any way part of Wilder's plans he'll not be going anywhere. We're in the Championship, top end. We don't have to sell, and if they persist we can just ask for £15 million and scare them off.

They won’t be scared off by a £15m price tag, they’ll pay it. He’s better than that

That's the problem when you're doing very well in the championship.
The vultures from up above come calling.
Do all you can to hold on to your players. Losing just one could start off something bad.

Just in case it wasn't clear, 15m for Graham, not Brooksy, Brooksy is at least 30 plus million in today's market going on some other championship transfers.

I'd think that'd be a lot for someone who's not in a first team but who knows, football is mental at the minute.

There is no way I want to infect any of my devices with the clickbait ridden Scouse Rag.

Ah, fine

I would like to correct you on one minor point. We are not "championship, top end." We are "Championship, top." :D

Wish Everton would just piss off to be honest, every decent youngster we have they are linked with! Jamie Hoyland and David Unsworth are clearly the main reasons here. Still, its better to have our youngsters linked with other clubs than just produce crap youngsters nobody wants! Wednesday, I'm thinking of you here! Lol!

Fuck Everton.

They're obsessively stockpiling youngsters with no real purpose.

Maybe they should focus on developing the many young players who are already there?
Yep, be quite funny if Unsworth (and Hoylands?) caretaker spell in charge of Everton went disastrously wrong, some karma for his playing a role in our demise (thinking Wigan and Asst Manager to Weir?).

My initial thought was “get stuffed” but if McCabe feels he needs to sell someone (as he usually does) then rather him than any of the current first team squad.

They probably think the can just dangle a Million pounds infront of us and we will snap their hands of like we did with DCL.
Hopefully we are in a different place now and tell them to do one.
We need to try and keep all our promising youngsters now.

Just point the kid in the direction of Brooks, apply themselves and they can do the same they will develop much faster here than stuck in an Everton B team, anyway the way things are going we may well be swapping places come May 2018

Our academy is obviously very well run. Suppose we should take this as a compliment? Compare it to other local sides and Barnsley are probably number 1 but we are close and everyone else is a joke

He’d be better off sticking where he is IMHO. Why swop youth team football for one place to another? He could be in and around the first team next year and Wilder & SUFC have a proven track record with bringing youngsters through.

Maybe Everton are trying to nick all our young stars cos they see us as rivals in a year or two...

I think this is just the local paper trying to make a story. I M O. Everton are in a mess at the moment and it would be a bad move for Sam graham!!. can't see any real truth in this but I'll ask a couple of Everton season ticket holders at work for their take on the story.

It wouldn’t suprise me one bit if they are interested their scout is a regular at our 18’s and 23’s game. They watch a player about 18-20 times before deciding whether to make a bid obviously young Bomber is on the radar otherwise the Echo wouldn’t have printed the story but I would imagine there are 2 or 3 others also being watched beside him

I've got real high hopes for Sam Graham after seeing him pre season, hope this isn't true or at least doesn't happen
From the little I`ve seen of Sam Graham, he seems to a competent player for his age, dominant in his position, and big and strong. Need to see more of him to decide on his athleticism, but perhaps a rough diamond who our coaching staff can polish into a worthwhile diamond. No firesales needed, or advisable, in our present position.

Short of receiving a ridiculously high financial offer, or the club being in dire straits financially, a successful club keeps hold of its better players and better youngsters coming through.

Unless the money offered is eye watering, we should tell em to do one. CW knows the score so nothing to worry about here. As mentioned above, we are in a different place now compared to the selling of DCL. Thankfully.

Just tell then to jog on now.

Perhaps they have mixed us up with that 12th place league one team of yesteryear.

Everton starting to piss me off, stop stockpiling youth players and produce your own from the local area.
A few months ago Radio 5 interviewed unsworth about their great academy and how so many had done well for the young England teams. Unsworth was happy to take the credit for DCL, Lookman etc., Not once mentioning that they and others had been bought for millions of pounds from other clubs less than a year previously, and Radio 5 never mentioned it. Absolutely sick inducing fawning over an academy that is buying success. Sums up the Premier League and our media's attitude to it. Will only get worse with rules allowing cat 1 academies to poach players from others.
