they would, but im not sure how much public support they would garner for pleading poverty & players are only just scraping by on 200 grand a week
the money is out of control & but like most sport it needs a tradegy for action. we are talking 14 billion in uk rights, nearer 25 billion in global rights & yet the risk of clubs going out of business is more of a reality now than it ever was for 1st 10-15 years of premier league when the tv deals were 10 - 25% of what they are now. & leeds were anomaly then but its the norm now because more clubs are having to take big financial risks to be competitive & nearly paid the ultimate price, Derby, Portsmouth, Bolton, Wigan. West Brom look shaky. villa & blades escaped that potential fate through staying up & getting ppromoted. otherwise we fail & its very grim
