Even if he stays

This whole situation is ridiculous. Why it's being conducted in public is beyond me. Both sides are bringing the club into disrepute, the owners and the manager. This should be taking place behind closed doors. It seems like both sides are using the media. Imagine if it pans out that he stays? How on earth does that work?
It’s not in public though. The only people commenting on it are journalists with little to write about because it’s close season, YouTubers looking for likes and random people or mates of Wilder on social media.

It’s because it’s happening in private that people feel the need to talk shit about it.

I can take antics but what I can't take is expecting his mate Robinson to lead us to promotion.

It is so stupid as to provoke thoughts of corruption , to the club's detriment.

Ensuring that Robbo gets an option over the club to extend his contract.

To create this appalling situation , Wilder :

1.Failed to prioritise an immediate replacement for Souttar.

2.Spent the £ on a Cannon that won't fire.

3.Having ignored Jimmy Dunne , waited until the end of the window to bring in an unfit Holding.

4.Ensuring that Robinson faced no challenge.

5.Even when Holding got fit , chose to play Robinson instead - totally baffling - why bother paying Holding's wages ?

To me , it's not much of a stretch to say his decisions & actions are just too stupid to be called mistakes.

To me , they are baseless & corrupt.

The Robinson/Holding saga is the straw that broke this camel's back - I need him to go , I don't trust him any more.

I certainly don’t think he’s a cunt. I also have a lot of respect for him.

I don’t doubt for a minute that there have been occasions where people have come across chris where he has behaved in a manner that not all would approve of when he’s had a drink but that’s probably most of us.

He is lauded as being ‘one of our own’ and when things are going well, people can’t get enough ‘bladey’ behaviour. The minute things go wrong, he’s an immediately branded a cunt.

I guess if you asked sufficient people there would be a few say that I have been a cunt at times (I definitely have) and a few that might describe me a a cunt in general (I definitely am not? Or maybe I am..?!)

If we are seeking a tactical genius who is animated on the touchline, fills the team with passion, gets the club, unites the team with the fans, plays free flowing attacking and winning football, yet has no character flaws, I am confident that we will be disappointed.

Not saying Chris is without traits which are less than desirable at times, but in my opinion (and many other fans opinions) he is not a cunt.

It's funny that it's 2016-25 and none of these people ever have a smart phone?! They have to resort to making things up.

In the end it boils down to jealousy: he's everything they want to be and is totally unapologetic about it. So they resort to smearing libel and irrelevancies as that's all the pathetic carpet baggers have.

His big break? He was heading to Charlton when he joined us. I expect he may have achieved similar with them.

Furthermore, Is it beyond the realms of possibility that CW turned big money moves down in his first spell as Blades boss? Certainly not. In fact it'd be quite unbelievable if he didn't. It doesn't fit the Schrödinger's Wilder straw man narrative though.

Worth remembering that Adkins lead his team around BDTBL and, with them, took the anger and abuse from our fans after the 0-2 v Scunthorpe in May '16.

CW disappeared, to where and why has not yet been explained, on the final whistle at Wembley. His team had every right to expect him with them right then.

He's brought us some fabulous memories but when the lead 'culture carrier' fails to lead in their toughest moment, then we should speak of it too. That's very much part a lasting part of his legacy and should also be remembered.

A sad final ending to the Wilder era, if the media mood music proves correct in the next few days.

Front and centre, always, when things were good. Hands off and no public ownership when things went pear shaped.

I had some incredible leaders in my career who I would work for again in a heartbeat

We moved on quickly from those who quit on us or blamed everyone else but themselves when things got tough.

It's not about what people say in great times, that's easy. It is about what they do when it's coming on top.

I've read some utter tripe on here over the last few days but that comment really is up there with the worst of them.

One of the main things the Wilder lovers keep trotting out is last seasons points tally after the "Total Rebuild" he completed last summer.

If that's the case then the team assembled is down to him and the utter dross that was served up for the majority of last season is no one else's fault but his own.

That's an incredible achievement.

John Harris would probably have achieved more if he fought with the opposition and was often found pissed in the Crazy Daizy by your usual logic. John Short could have offered fans out in the Green Un letters page
FFS - isn’t there enough disharmony without you re- opening that particular orthographic ‘debate’?!?!?!?

🎶Daisy, Daizy

Let's call the whole thing off🎶

Exactly how I feel ( minus the corruption ) although I can't help but feel he was determined to get him an extension ,I get the impression he was scared of him

I dont actually think Robinson is that bad ,alongside holding or souttar he was fine I just think him and anel were weak together and teams exploited this and it cost us promotio TWICE

If you mean one like any number of PL, European and Championship managers who know how to represent their club professionally and without having hangers on filming their exploits and pressing 'send' to the world then yes.

That would be an upgrade on Wilder.
we care too much about owls amd leeds fans slagging us off for everything that ever happens ,, they need treating with the contempt they show us

no one outside yorkshire would know what sausage rhol is, but why is owls calling neil warnock colin wanker not rude

Wilder is too hooked in to us v Wednesday, hence the 16 minute presser after the derby win. He can't be objective

Don't be daft, football fans all over know what that means mate. They take the p*ss out of both Wilder and Rohl on the back of it

This is bollocks. 🤣

Firstly, Wilder did prioritise a Souttar replacement in January. Bettis confirmed as much. He didn't spend the money on Cannon. He didn't spend the money on anyone. He doesn't spend the money - the club does. Wilder and the recruitment team come up with a list of targets and the club does the rest. And he/they didn't "ignore" Jimmy Dunne. We bid for Jimmy Dunne. Either he was unwilling to move in January or the clubs couldn't agree on a fee. Wilder didn't wait until the end of the window, either. I'm sure he would have wanted players in on day one.

Look, wanting to move on from Wilder is reasonable. The style of play was boring, for a start. But some of the anti-Wilder stuff posted on here in the last few months has been bonkers.

plus had VAR hadnt intervened wilder would be our best manager ever in terms of promotions
the period 17 to 21 is probably the best 4 consecutive seasons in our history, allowing for opposition being bigspenders now then Covid stopped us having crowds lifting our players which we rely on

Crack on. Year 55 at BDTBL coming round for me. Leave my choice of club to me?

Successful teams have managers who don't 'behave like a fan' but you are very welcome to your opinion too.
Similar sentence to myself albeit you are short a couple of years. Where we differ, is I believe that Chris 'has been a successful manager' .

In your 55 years you've seen more downs than ups (and the downs have been pretty miserable)- but during Chris's tenure you have had basically 1 poor season, the rest have been brilliant including last season, 1 shit VAR decision away from going up '92 points' c'mon the guy deserves another go, Chris knows these players inside and out, some of the stuff written on these boards is borderline 'insane'.

The names touted are not upgrades - and as per usual manager change- mean going into a new season totally unprepared. THe sensible thing to do is leave it til Christmas- take stock then.

Any other manager that did what Wilder 1.0 had done would have probably left us after the top 10 finish in the PL.

If he was called Christian Wilderino he would probably have ended up managing someone like Palace.

While the shit show over in S6 rumbles on, it’s a convenient way of masking the thoroughly unprofessional way this whole Wilder in / Wilder Out fiasco has played out in public.

Whatever your thoughts on the man, past present or future, he is human and should not be subject to this Tom foolery. I hope he has thick enough skin to not allow it to affect his mental health, as it most surely would for many other people.

Whatever happens, the man has dedicated large chunks of his life to this football club as a player (underrated in my opinion) and as a manager that has served with distinction and has a record that few other managers in our entire history can match.

It needs sorting and it needs sorting NOW.

You will see the situation becoming untenable if it drags on much longer (and may very well have already come to that).

If this is how these new business oriented owners of ours conduct themselves, than it’s not a very good fucking start fellas.

Is it ??

Like I've said previously, when rumours were rife that Hecky was going to be sacked and replaced by Wilder, this was public before it happened. Wilder didn't seem to have a problem with that, nor with stabbing Hecky in the back when he hadn't even been sacked yet.

This is not new. This is the way football is. It's a ruthless, cut-throat business. If this is brand new to you then I'd have to ask how you've never seen this kind of thing happen before?

There was talk of Ange getting sacked before the final, this was public. After he won the final there was talk of Ange getting sacked. That was also public.

If his 55 years started in 1970 he's seen exactly the same number of downs and ups.

We we're in the second tier then, and we're in the second tier now.

Never said it doesn’t happen. That’s a given.

My question is should it ?

I have worked in a professional environment all my life - it would not be allowed in my world.

If football is different it should be asking it self why ?

Football is different as most things get leaked to the press which doesn't happen in your average job.

Most football club owners I would imagine want the whole process to be private until the appointment gets made.

Thought Tony Currie was a great player but sit with a drink with him and he’s a Cnut too. Egotistical wanker.

One man's the thing you said is another man's God like genius - didn't he buy you any crisps?

This sums up my thoughts better than I probably could.

It’s not a good situation - gloss over it with “it happens cos it’s football” as you wish !!

“CW will be sacked by SU, wait for it, IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS”.

What a fucking joke / shit show.

No respect for the board as of right now 😡.

Do you not find it strange that no neutral football analyst or pundit thinks there is corruption, and barely find it controversial at all that Robinson played?

If it was as unbelievably stupid as you seem to think it was, shouldn't there be someone other than blades who've turned on Wilder who think so?

In the hours of punditry about us from February onwards, I never heard one neutral mention that Robinson should be dropped.
