Evans/Leonard

I think we've lacked a bit of belief in ourselves since coutts injury
but a good away win should change that hopefully now with strength in numbers it onwards and upwards ,villa at home next in the league and the lane will be rockin. happy days ,mind the gap.

I thought Evans, in particular, was superb. Sat deep, was where he needed to be when we needed him to be there and moved the ball quickly and efficiently. He really set the tempo of everything we did well. I don't like to compare players as their all their own man but as others have said, it was almost as though Coutts was back in there. On that showing, he could be a very big player for us.

Completely agree with that. I think the difference with Lundstram playing that role is that Evans seemed to have speed of thought, and confidence that he could if needed take a few touches without giving the ball away. Lundstram has been decent and I think has improved as he’s played more, but I have to say that Evans looked far more comfortable. Lundstram is clearly still in Wilder’s thinking, and I’ve no doubt will continue to feature within the squad. But Evans off that showing offers us much more.

Fleck is a premier league player.has been since he arrived.
Quality with and without the ball, and if he could add goals to his game in a consistent basis would be wanted by the Big clubs.

I think he has been effected the most by Coutts leaving. Have to admit last few games I haven’t been impressed with Fleck as we all know he has premiership qualities.

Today he was back to his best. New faces with new ideas not carrying the Coutts Injury etc seems to have freshened it up.

He'll end up elsewhere next season. Evans/Leonard were not recruited to sit on the bench and by the sounds of it brought a new dimension today, didn't attend but the midfield seemed reinvented today, Evans play maker, Lenny box to box and fleck driving forward in an advanced role.
Nope.

All our players will play a major role. As will Lundstram.

We will rotate the team to keep it fresh but the best performers will play more than not. This is what CW has built into our squad.

Maybe it will be Leonard / Evans / Lundstram / Coutts / Fleck.

But all our midfielders have to perform if you don’t perform you may drop out. Today Evans gets a big thumbs up and maybe force himself even more into the side.

I don’t get this berating of players our fans do. Support whoever is out there don’t need to moan and whine on a message board as you don’t like a particular player. That’s what the wendies do.
All good players for me including Lunds who is a quality player wilder knows what he's doing always better to have strength in depth .
