Thoughts on the kit?

I wonder what the mark up is with Adidas, probably a lot less than some of the others
My club have just gone with adidas and the training kit with printing is a few pounds more than identical half price blades training kit.

What’s an Errea? Might as well go Elev8 if we’re going down the tinpot lower league route.

I agree with almost all of this except the last sentence. The major flaw with that anniversary kit was the addition of the John Holland sponsor. Without that it's both a better reflection of the original United kit and a better looking kit.

I don't know where they got them from but Classic Football Shirts sold off a load of sponsor-free versions. I've got one.
Fair point. It was in black and white though which reduced the impact.

I wish the mid 90s flocked sponsor prints would make a comeback.

The main issue is not design, it's quality and finish. Doesn't matter which manufacturers badge is on it - I think most are assuming it'll be a step down in quality of match day shirts (sweaty Macron shirts, anyone?) and some really bargain basement training gear.

Yeah, those Macron shirts were not comfy. At all.

On the scale of things to worry about the kit manufacturers is basically irrelevant

But That said I’d prefer a proper brand, just feels like you’re moving in the right direction with that. Decent training gear etc and I’d probably be more likely to purchase a kit.

I’d have liked a Hummel or Umbro if it was a better deal than adidas. On the positive though, we’d probably have more input into what we want from a kit with errea - rather than an identikit one from Nike or adidas.

So I’ve no issues if the money is right and the quality is still there.

Can we not go old skool and have someone like Gola, or Bukta, Admiral etc?

Massive collars and made of material that itches like you have leprosy or something.

Ps every kit should have black pinstripes, other wise it's too much like Stoke.

Macron's ok now. I've got a Sporting shirt from that 2018 Blades trip to Portugal and got a Union Berlin shirt from a couple of years ago they're a world away from those we had all those years ago! The Union shirt especially is very good quality.

Looking at Errea website I like the Parma shirts other than the logo in the middle and I've no idea who Asante Kotoko are but that red shirt is another level! 😃

Anyway I'm not buying anything with Randox on it they can get fucked.

Terrible decision if true.

The quality of product and materials with Adidas, can't be questioned. The training wear too. Move to these and we might aswell not bother with any training products on sale. Maybe 50 of each item 🤣

Amazing:

Not buying that if it gives me Moobs.

I'm not bothered what strip they play in or who manufacture's it,all i want is the team to play good football and win more games than they lose, hopefully get promoted.

They will all probably be made in the far east in a sweat shop by under pressure youngster's who get paid with a bag of rice.

Adidas know how to charge for their products, dont they.

I see badge snobs (on car forums) mostly, blah blah blah.

This kit is the best, its the painted on version.

My gardner doesn't come dressed like that.

Thought Udders Umbro shirt was decent, correct stripes width, and stripes on the back and sleeves. It's been a while since we've had a simple red and white stripes and also the sleeves match up.

I like Errea, one of the few brands that actually make unique designs and not the teamwear most big brands impose on clubs. Would be excited if we also get errea kits. Have quite a few in my shirt collection and love the fabric and design.

I can't say I'm sorry to see Adidas go their stuff is quality but overpriced as with most kit suppliers. Their best efforts for me were the purple away shirt. the white premier league shirt and this seasons black away shirt. Shirts I wouldn't polish the car with the green away and the pink away shirt which were awful 🤮
One or two of the home shirts have been ok ish but Adidas always do something to spoil them like plain backs or plain sleeves or too many bits and bobs don't they know less is sometimes more.
The best shirts United have sold for years are the 92 replica shirts they are absolute mint get a kit maker to do something like those and we are onto a winner.

Wait until the Errea kits are the same price as the Adidas ones. The only difference being that the club will make more per unit from the Errea ones.

QPR’s home and away kit by errea are one of best in league I’d say. Not seen many bad errea kits in fairness does seem a fall from grace changing from adidas but like previously mentioned adidas use templates and change colours other manufacturers seem to put more thought in to it so wouldn’t mind if we changed, we’ve had a good run with adidas. Nike anyone 👀

Hopefully it’s not that wank bin bag material that you sweat like fuck and it shows every unflattering curve of your body 😂

Two things:

Whoever we go with it’ll be a step down. How do you step up from adidas?

All kit manufacturers use templates.
