Thoughts on the kit?

Isn't Castore a Mike Ashley/Sports Direct brand?

They’re 2 kids from Liverpool or so they would like you to believe in reality they’re the face and it’s actually bank rolled by the brother who own Asda..

The money they are spending is insane and unsustainable and will result in investments being pulled in the not so distant future

Castore were selling Rangers fans training tops made by Fruit of the Loom with their logo on, we need to stay well clear of them.

Didn’t know that. I know they had major production issues last year which had rangers fans waiting ages for kits

If it's following on with the rest of the precipitous decline in the standard of off pitch standards I'm expecting a shambles and there being nothing available till December

Errea now also confirmed informally at our end so high chance this is happening.

Sounds like a nasty virus spreading through united world.

Thoughts and prayers are with Chateauroux at this time.

We are a small fish in a big pond with adidas, and the issue with their templates for the likes of us was that they only generally allowed for 2 colour combos (particularly the shorts, socks and away shirts), with no attention to detail. Plain backs have also featured too heavily.

For example, white away shirts would look like proper blades shirts with both red and black trim, not just one or the other, while most sets of home shorts have been black with white stripes and no red.

While all manufacturers use templets, other firms will hopefully allow us a bit more creativity and put more thought into it.

Do people honestly think that if we go to a cheaper kit supplier those savings will be passed onto the fans?
Doubt it! These inferior shirts will still be £50+ but the club will get a bigger share of the profits.
That's the whole point of us switching supplier I would imagine.

Absolutely! We've got a pauper among princes in charge and he'll be looking to balance the books in any way possible.

First image that comes to mind with Errea randomly is Fabrizio Ravanelli in his Middlesbrough/Derby kits.

Fairly prevalent elsewhere in the league I suppose and is better than us producing kits in house, we've seen various issues with that somewhere else......

Maybe it's just me, but i can't get excited or upset about kits, suppliers or designs.

S'long as its has a Blades badge on and is red and white then it's fine.

Like the kit? Happy with the Price? Great. Buy it.
Answer no to either of the above? Great. Don't buy one.

I mean we've had Avec, Le Coq Sportif, Macron, Patrick as manufacturers over the years who have created some awful and some iconic kits.

Have to agree with that entirely. Not really sure why so many seem to get so invested in the make, design and quality of the kits.

If you don't like it then don't buy it. If you like it then buy it.

It's also not like we have them for years anyway so at most it'll only be year before you get to make that choice again.

Also not sure what the issue with the club earning more revenue per unit is? As a supposed self sustaining club surely we should be looking at these exact type of scenarios to booster the coffers should we not??

If you've got young kids then you don't have a choice but to buy the kits, I've rather them have a decent one than a shit one. I can imagine Errea kits only being washable using a mangle and freshwater or something daft.

The adidas tracksuits for the last few years have been decent quality and look good, I can't see Errea ones being the same. It's brand snobbery but with reason when you're shelling out around £400-£500 a year for kits and training gear for growing kids.

Brand snobbery, it makes us look better if we have a big make, even though it makes no difference, put Messi in Sondico and he's still Messi.

For some fans, they can go to the match all Adidas right now, get your freshly cleaned Sambas out with your Adidas tracky top and it's just an aesthetic, which is where that disappointment stems from I think.

And others it's probably just a bit of a throwback to school where little Jimmy had Adidas shorts for PE and their Mum could only afford those blue polyester ones from Castle Market, we're taught to revere the names aren't we.

And there will be some who are just disappointed because they like to actually wear the stuff, and Adidas gear is normally nice to wear most of the time, so their wardrobe will take a hit if Errea stuff is sweaty rubbish.

This tweet says it all for me...

It would if Kappa sleeves were nice. A logo repeated down the sleeves just doesn’t work. Only adidas can lay claim to sleeve branding in my opinion. If you aren’t adidas just put your logo on the right breast area and concentrate on making the kit nice.

Hummel?

The Venezia kits have 19 (NINETEEN) Kappa logos across the full kit.
