Welcome Positive Nigel
Tønne scored another today, his fourth in eleven games. They won 3-0 away at the league leaders (before the game), for whom Kristoffer Løkberg plays.
Where has he been playing Bergen? Upfront?

I do wish people would stop comparing playing in front of 18000 against 50 at Shirecliffe for an u21 game. People react very different in different scenarios and there is no reason some of our youngsters including Tonne should be written off because some of you have seen them play at Shirecliffe. They need to be given game time and this is one of the reasons I hated Wilson.
Guardiola was the youth team coach at Barcelona and when he got the main job the first thing he did was bring through Busquets and Pedro who most people at Barcelona didn't think were very good. Your opinions on them may vary but they definitely suited how Barcelona were set up to play. They shined with the spotlight yet were not considered good enough when playing in front of small crowds.
Jack Lester used to tell me that back when Andy Parkinson was at the club, he was the best player by far in training. Could do things all the team couldn't dream of doing. Put him infront of a crowd however and he was shit.
Just because for example Tonne couldn't play left wing for a team set up by Danny Wilson doesn't mean he wouldn't suit a 442 setup by David Weird. We can only hope that we have a manager who can spot this type of thing and this is why I was very keen on someone new and untried and had new ideas.
It is very easy for us all to write off our players but let us hope we have someone who can make a few diamonds out of the rough
Very easy indeed, because some of them patently aren't good enough.
I hereby write off Chappell, Tonne and Ironside. Whitehouse escapes the write-off temporarily because of his debilitating injury.
Mr Cresswell, you are the best left winger in the world! No, you don't need pace to play there! With Doyle and Williams near you there won't be any through balls to run onto anyway! Chill out, how do you know they're laughing at you! Yes, it hurts more when it's your own fans. Of course it's normal to get cramps after 20 minutes! Kitson gets them all the time!

We share the same vision, however not the same way of getting there! I am not sure how you can write off Ironside and Whitehouse although they have only had 1 start each. Better management last year would have allowed them more game time, so unfortunately they are going to find out the hard way. Ironside and Whitehouse are said to have more promise than McFadzean yet because Callum has had more game time you haven't included him. I think it's time some people gave these lads a fair crack of the whip before writing them off.
