Enough Wednesday threads!

Can we finally stop posting threads about Wednesday now? Or mark them clearly so I can avoid reading them.

We continually go on about how they’re obsessed with us, yet we keep writing about them.

We think they’re deluded, but seem to think we should be putting 7 past them.

We accuse them of unscrupulous behaviour on match days, but get offended when they say the same about us.

We claim to hate them all, but we’re all surely related to at least one.

We call them cheats, yet steadfastly defend our own players (e.g. Fleck) when they’ve blatantly done the same.

If we don’t care what they think or what they believe, if we are loving watching our team at the moment, if we spare even a second to look at how far we’ve come in two short years, can we just be grateful that we’re 12 points ahead, the only side that can go up and we put 4 past them on Bouncing Day.

If not, can we at least try and focus on the team in red and white for a while? It is a Blades forum, after all.

A lot of that needed saying loud and clear. However, I didn't get the point of the Fleck comment. And despite having spent quite a bit of time on family history, I haven't found a Wednesdayite among them yet...

Cheats was probably the wrong catch-all term, but I’m referring to the fact that if a Wednesday player had made the tackle Fleck got sent off for, there would be many wanting the culprit hung at dawn.
