Surely Denmark's the best country in the world. Best health service (apart from dentistry), best education (unless you're a foreigner), best food...(actually maybe not).

PM me if you fancy watching England in the pub Monday btw,
Denmark’s actually got a lot going for it. Still can’t quite understand how the whole system works and how it is economical but maybe it is best not knowing.
Can’t make Monday as I’m playing and won’t make Copers once I’ve finished

It’s still in General Blades Chat. Why don’t you “England” lot have your deluded dialogue on an ‘England’ messageboard? I dare say such are available and will certainly avoid any contribution from me.
And you could work out after page 1 that it was nothing for you but still here you are 11 pages later getting upset that some people are patriotic. And no, that doesn’t mean you’re a hooligan or that you disrespect other cultures or think that either is acceptable but that you’re proud to say you’re English. Keep pushing for the attention you crave

So proud, you live in Denmark?

Agree with you here and what immediately sprung to mind would be Germany World Cup. We played Trinidad and Tobago in Nuremberg. Before the match we toured the Nazi War Museum along with T&T fans and showed great respect to the awful memories. Once in the ground it becomes and football match and rivalry.

Afterwards we walked through the grounds where Hitler held his rallies showing respect for the surroundings.

To this day the 3 weeks I spent in Germany were bloody brilliant, camping out the middle of nowhere. We played cricket and got German holiday makers involved, teaching them the rules.

I didn't follow England solely for the games but to see a very small piece of the World as well. Show respect, try the food, try the language, embrace the culture.
I was there too. Where did you camp? We were about fifty miles from Frankfurt for the first game, then moved to Nuremberg where we parked the camper outside my mate’s (German) cousins’ house. Managed to stay in German friends/relatives’ places in Berlin, Cologne and somewhere between (middle of nowhere but a hotel - didn’t get free rooms but got to use the facilities) and also visited Prague and called in at Eindhoven on the way back.
Had a great time, met loads of people including a Mexican Blade (who’d studied in Sheffield).

Nuremberg was a bit tasty after the Germany/Poland game.

I see Pinchy is still on his trolling fest.

It's ok once the season starts he can tell us how shit our academy is.

At least that will be relevant to Sheffield United, not a deluded dialogue about a third-rate national team followed by (in addition to some decent people) moronic, racist thugs.

Our academy is excellent. The vast majority of its graduates are not. The same goes for the vast majority of clubs. That’s football.

Bert was thinking of going to Russia but unfortunately he failed the plastic chair chucking test....kept missing innocent passers by.
You'd love Russia. We had a fantastic time when England played out there. Moscow is a very interesting city, with a chequered history. I've also done the Trans Siberian Railway to Khabarovsk.
Although I realise that's spoiling the picture that people want to paint of us England fans.
Good joke though.....

Oh dear that was obvious as it was sad. The world has moved on We live in a very global world. I live in Denmark, which has little or no effect on whether I’m proud to be English or not. My children are here.
I’m also not from Sheffield but I’m proud to be a Sheffield United fan, despite the fact we have some hooligans, I can see past that, they are called the minority.

We stayed in a hotel 1st night in Frankfurt then drocevto a small village called Germunden. The campsite was about 2 mile up a hill from the village. We drive to the England game each day stayed in a hotel night of game then back to the campsite the next day.

One hell of an adventure a kind of sense if achievement to navigate through Germany

Jeez Louise. You've missed an open goal there CopenhagenBlade

Remember Pinchy is infamously ....

Blade not Bladey....

You needed to hit him with

"I'm England not Englandey"
(You can have that on me)

I’m really enjoying reading some of the stories on this thread. The England fans have a bad reputation (for good reason I suppose) but you don’t have to be a hooligan to support England. I would love to follow England to a WC or European Championships, and think as Ball_Sup (Phil) described, would enjoy engaging with local culture - I know not everyone does that and some of the England fans are essentially idiots but why should that stop someone going? Some blades are idiots too...

Afraid so. Trying to make he knows more and is better than the rest of us when sadly, all he appears to be, is a bitter old man who is trolling a website craving attention and celebrity status

ok so if I say england is far from the greatest country on earth, without clarifying why, thats fine? Good..I think this country is a shithole..
Of course it's fine, it's called freedom of speech (within the confines of a privately run message board, of course).
If I want to ask you why you think that, I will ask you. Politely. I won't make a demand that you explain yourself.

So you assume that I demanded a reply...off the mark there Columbo

you call that a demand? Fcks sake
Yes. it's a demand. No "Fucks sake" about it. There's no point getting your knickers in a twist because someone reads what you write. If English isn't your strong point, then fair enough, but you can't complain when your posts aren't interpreted as you'd like them to be.

Trans Siberian railway bla bla bla what about the chair chucking CBF

awww should I have gone all Hugh Grant and asked if the person wouldn't mind awfully if they could explain their assertion? you're either thick or a sensitive little petal if you read my original post as a demand...which one is it? I think I know..
