Egan does a solid job week after week for us and has definitely contributed more good than bad during his time with us.

His main pitfalls are having a pretty wide turning circle and looking decidedly dodgy when he has to face his own goal. As long as the game is unfolding in front of him, he's bloody good.

Nice to see that he's bagged a few goals this season which was the main thing missing from his game. Based on some of his finishing in the past (Burnley away in particular), I reckon he's got it in the locker to hit a regular 4-6 a season.

That video. On the one hand an amazing achievement, and yet now to look back on it, a huge opportunity missed/messed up somehow. But maybe that's not the way to look on it. We had an amazing 4 seasons and nothing will change that. Back on subject and Egan is a legend, definitely the best centre back I've seen playing for us.

He’s not the best centre half we have had by a long way …. BUT he is a leader , he genuinely seems to care and he has a fighting spirit that epitomises what’s great about being a blade. He is an amazing signing for the money , comes across as a very decent bloke off the pitch and he would be in the trench with me without a doubt. He’s certainly up there in the last 20 years that’s for sure.
