Not seen Anel pulling any trees up from opposition corners either. He mainly watches the man, grabs him and blocks him. He’s no idea where the ball is in flight when doing that so can’t attack the ball or read the cross. Whoever’s told him that’s how a centre half defends corners couldn’t have played at centre half.

Feel like Hudson has changed the way we defend corners to a split between some zonal and some man marking... Feels a bit of a mess inside the penalty area right now.

Feel like Hudson has changed the way we defend corners to a split between some zonal and some man marking... Feels a bit of a mess inside the penalty area right now.

McBurnie doesn’t seem to have a free role to attack the ball, rather than marking a man, like he used to have and it makes a big difference but the biggest issue is basic defending - how many headed goals have we conceded already where the defender was the wrong side of his man when challenging for the ball. It shouldn’t be difficult to solve but is for some reason.
