I’m really struggling to drum up much enthusiasm at the minute after the last few weeks events .. usually can’t wait for the fixtures but have to say I had no fks to give when they came out yesterday .. I’m sure at the start of Aug I’ll be a bit more up for it .. time for another Mythos

West Coast Eagles produced the most brilliant display I have ever seen from any team in any form of football when they destroyed Geelong in the 1994 Grand Final at the MCG, which I covered for The Independent. It was incredible.

Personally I think it’s a tricky start for Selles

1st game Bristol City… instant comparisons to Wilders last home game

2nd game Swansea away.. long trip.

3rd game Millwall.. Bogey side at the Lane

4th game Boro away.. always tough, rubbish record there.

5th game Ipswich away title favourites

I don’t necessarily think it should make or break his tenure, Wilder lost 3 of his first 4 in charge.

However there will be a lot of voices from the Wilder cultists itching to jump on his back if we don’t take almost maximum points from the fixtures.

I hope we do well but if we don’t it’s going to be interesting to see the reaction from certain voices who when Wilder was in charge considered any criticism of anything as sacrilege and an expression of hatred towards United.

You realise that this is done deliberately, given the diehards that'll go to every game will go to every game anyway, whereas the casuals who pick and choose won't go such a long distance whenever it is, hence it maximises Saturday attendances?

No not yet. Only the 1st weekends TV games have been announced. The games up to the end of September will be announced in the next 7 days followed by the ones until the beginning of January by the start of the season.

Your boys had me greatly fearing my acca today. I nearly didn't include your game as it was such poor odds that it was almost not worth it. Plenty of improvement from WC
