Dont want to worry anyone, but...

Its gut wrenching to think that we were at one time 5 points in fron with 2 games in hand and had we won at Swillsborough with 8 points lead and 2 games in hand would have been enough. However I look back at that season and the 2 defining matches were Oldham at home when we were 2.0 up and cruising until Lowton got sent off and then cant remember if we had someone else sent off but the following match away at Walsall (those bastards again) we had NO centre halves and Matt Hill made his debut and made a clanger. Had we kept our heads v Oldham we would have probably not lost against Walsall either so that 6 points was fatal !!

Hard to see this current set up falling away so badly and also as hard to see Bolton or Fleetwood putting together anything like the run of results that our scruffy neighbours did.

Not worried, just taking it one game at a time.

Bolton might but the big difference is the scrapping of the loans outside the transfer window. Pigs brought in Antonio just before the emergency loan window closed and he had a big impact (as did sacking Ginger Bollocks and getting in an actual experienced manager as opposed to just promoting a coach coz he's a good lad).

Bolton have got what they've got, as do us and Scunty, no more players coming in from other clubs to help them out.

Blades
Bolton
Scunthorpe
Millwall
Bradford
Fleetwood

That's my guess.

It was Harry that was sent off as well as Lowton, bringing down Kuqi in the area to give them the lead, also the game Lecsinel Jean Francois did his cruciates and Collins was absent for family reasons

We have a point less than we did at the same time when we messed it up in the Ched season.

Which is why I do this:

Yes, one point less but two defeats in 2011/12 coming up. :)

Sure it was Maguire.

Lowton's first booking was for throwing the ball back to the centre spot after Oldham's first goal (spectacular Cresswell OG).

This was the pivotal moment. The back four at Walsall was completely different to the back four versus Oldham and they played like they'd never met each other before.

This was because they'd never met each other before. It was Ertl, Egan, Hill, Andy Taylor.

I maintain to this day that Ertl's performance that night was the worst I'd seen from anyone in a Red and white shirt.

Whoever put Ertl's left foot on his right leg and vice versa should have been fired.

yes agree with that - those 4 days when we lost to Oldham and Walsall.

I remember the Oldham game - cruising at 2 nil, we missed a great chance to go 3 nil and then Lowton went followed by Maguire (??)

We can point all day long to ched - hindsight shows it was those two games

Antonio's 99th minute winner in their penultimate home game was another key moment in the saga.

I still think it's us and Bolton for the top 2 although I may need a re-think after tomorrow......

Wilder is decisive and brave, and goes to win.

Wilson whilst likeable, was cautious at times and bottled it at half time at the Sty.

Bolton have dealt with losing key players in the Jan window seemlessly. I thought they'd drop off as a consequence but no. Scunny are the ones having a wobble. I fervently hope that wobble becomes full on disintegration tomorrow.

We could do with Bradford doing us a favour as well. That will be a tight game.

That's scary I've literally just finished talking to a pig fan about that. (the 99th min goal)

I agree with you I think us and Bolton in which order I'm not sure but think both of us will pull away and it will be cigar time come MK Away
