Hi All,

First of all can we introduce ourselves, we are the Supporter Liaison Officers for Doncaster Rovers and would like to welcome your fans to the Keepmoat Stadium this Saturday.

We really hope you enjoy your visit and have a safe journey to Doncaster. If you have any issues regarding their experience at the Keepmoat, please feel free to contact us, we will be around the footprint of the stadium pre-match wearing Doncaster Rovers rain jackets with Supporter Liaison Officer printed on the front and back and will also be available outside the away end post match.

We have also launched a guide to help away fans enjoy the experience when visiting the Keepmoat Stadium. The away fans guide offers help and advice on how to get the stadium, places to eat and drink, where to stay and information on Doncaster in general. It is available to download from here: http://www.doncasterroversfc.co.uk/documents/drfc-awaysupporterguide110-1142548.pdf

Please note the food prices in the Away Fans Guide has been updated from last season and the new prices can be found here: http://www.doncasterroversfc.co.uk/documents/catering1415110-1780685.pdf

You can also follow our Twitter account for visiting fans (@DRFC_AWAY) for all the latest information regarding your visit, including local traffic information, ticket information and places to go and don't forget you can ask us any questions you may have about your visit through the account.

We understand the away allocation has been sold out so no tickets will be available to your fans to purchase on the day but we understand that collections will be taking place from our Stadium 'Soccer Centre' which is the Red Corner as you approach the stadium.

Should you still have any questions on your visit after reading our guide, you can ask us here or email [email protected]

Thanks

Our Away Fans Twitter will be tweeting information about the game from tonight up to Saturday's kick off.

I have no idea (not being an away fan at BDTBL) whether SUFC do this, but we should be doing so. I particuarly like the idea of an away fans twitter feed.

One for our SLO???

Our welcome to The Lane could read;

Why yer bothering coming, our strikers are goin to rip yer a good one.

What a great idea and a quality service. Far better than I have seen elsewhere. Other clubs seem to try their best to make you unwelcome such as Reading.

Good on' yer Donny! Good luck to you (after Saturday) :-)

I like the idea, it's much more inclusive and its a way of treating away fans as, well, fans. I think this is what needs to happen in English football, not treating away fans like crap.

Out of interest, I presume that the South Yorkshire police won't be putting up a ring of steel around the away end at the keep moat

Well done donny, nice gesture

Linz, when we approached SUFC concerning proposals pertaining to eCommerce and how the club was once again missing the boat...You can imagine the response. Not pretty. So, we have to wait until other sporting clubs are doing something before SUFC can follow them. Expect something in the next few years... :(

Seems a good idea. Can I get my order in early please. For breakfast I'd like a "Full English" fried egg and 2 slices of fried bread. If the Blades lose can you arrange a psychologist, counsellor or psychotherapist to support me afterwards and possibly take me for a gargle, (a real ale pub) please,

Why don't other clubs offer this facility ?

Well done Donny

Just dropped someone off at donny train station
frightening place

They way football is going supporters actually turning up to a game is the last thing the FA want,
Unless it's a TV top six or continental match of cause....

Have just emailed with a question re wheel chairs and parking and received a reply almost immediately. Well done Donny Rovers.

Hi all, many thanks for the feedback.

Our away Twitter account is now active for this game (@DRFC_AWAY) and any fan wishing to view their 'view' Saturday can tweet us their ticket details using #tweetyourticket and we'll tweet back the view from your seat for Saturday's game*

*Expect a reply during daylight hours, we don't think our management will be too pleased if we're turning the floodlights on all week for a picture!

Thanks

I have a question. Is there an actual moat at the Keepmoat? And if so, do any fish live in it?

Also, what's to stop the players falling in it when their momentum takes them off the field of play?

It's so simple, but what a great idea. It's already been said but I'll say it again, well done Donny Rovers.

There isn't a moat at the Stadium, the name is from a sponsorship deal with Keepmoat PLC since the Stadium opened in 2007.

However we are the only football league club to play adjacent to a lake which is behind the East Stand and to date, a player is yet to fall in.

Anything you can do, Sheffield Wednesday do bigger and better.

thanks for this, good to see clubs taking the SLO role seriously and actively reaching out to visiting fans

A lake next to the ground ! Do you have naughty people serving Community sentence orders to swim/wade out for balls that end up in the drink ?

When Shrewsbury Town played at Gay Meadow, right by the River Severn, they had a bloke with a coracle to retrieve balls that ended up in the river.

Just a reminder for fans travelling Saturday by car, there is a 50MPH in force on the M18 in the run up to J3 for the Keepmoat due to roadworks. Delays aren't usually that bad but do please allow enough time for any delays.

Turnstiles will be open from 1:30. Any questions please ask.

Thanks
