What he actually says in that bit is that as a pundit he's "selfishly" wanting the tie to stay competitive to keep his job interesting, not that he selfishly didn't want us to win it.

Although the "head vs heart" stuff at the end when they're predicting the scores is funny - he clearly does dislike us for some reason. But he just about manages not to say so.
