I was (but becoming increasingly less so ) confident in our new owners , they must have a plan , they are successful business people , they wouldn’t buy the club and then pull their horns in after 5 mins - would they ?

Wait until the transfer window closes - best advice for sure then we can all take an objective view .

But oh dear , am I bed wetting - no , because my mantra is now , at my age - fk it - control only what you can - whatever will be will be and enjoy the roller coaster ride of being a Blade .

Very very interesting times - plan ? Live in hope but not holding my breath . Off for a walk to Danes Dyke then a round of golf ️ before a few beers and a nice lunch .

My optimism has definitely faded a little, not because of yesterdays result, but because of the recruitment strategy.

I wasn’t expecting players through the door straight away or blowing millions on players, but there are key positions we’ve been crying out for players for since December and yet we still don’t seem to have prioritised this.

The spending of £10m on Cannon in January gave me optimism for the summer TW but (so far) that has yet to materialise and it’s starting to feel like we haven’t got the cash needed.

There’s still a few weeks left of the window to turn this around but there’s a lot to do in that time. Maybe the ‘irons are in the fire’ but if there isn’t significant backing for Selles then I feel it will be Slav pt2.
