It's embarrassing and boring, but a large section can't help but have a dig at every opportunity. Diego didn't link himself with Juve/Arsenal etc, there was genuine interest from top clubs. Diego didn't call Arrigo Sacchi begging to play for Italy, Arrigo Sacchi called him to switch allegiances.I never quite understood the angst that DDG always seemed to receive. If overconfidence was one of reasons he didn't quite make it, he won't be first nor the last footballer to suffer from it.
If he's doing well at Buxton and enjoying playing, as well as running his own business, then good luck to him.
I've been to the Chesterfield Restaurant in SIcilyIt’s the Sicily Restaurant in Chesterfield.
My old man played against his uncle a lot in the Chesterfield Sunday League and says much the same. His family are bellends to be honest. They think they own Chesterfield and are god’s gift to the world. Diego’s big brother is potentially the biggest helmet I’ve ever met. In that respect at least, I’m glad Diego never made it because the family would have become even more unbearable.
Surely you can make that happenBe nice to get Buxton in the 3rd round of the FA Cup if they manage to pull of an upset against Morcambe, sure DDG would get a warm reception at the lane.

Taking personal views away from it, I think it’s a shame he didn’t make it but I’d have rather Terry Kennedy made it, a lad that gave it all and didn’t make it through no fault of his own rather than laziness.
The bizarre and sad truth of it is, if Diego’s name was John Smith he wouldn’t have even had a thread on here.
Just need Jamie Ward to be sent off nowOff injured. Sums it up really.

In Britannia pub tonight arms wrestling his brother and broke his arm….dad come and took him to chesterfield hospital…![]()
It was on the Guardian website today, but they claim he broke his arm getting out of his car:I'm sorry. But this post needs more attention.
Signing a 1 year deal a couple of days ago at Buxton. Is he the biggest flop in the history of the club?
He is still young and was coming good under Hecky but got injured?!My brother in Christ, Rhian Brewster cost around twenty million pounds.
