So when they start injecting the fibre that takes 12 hours per track we still have 3 weeks of compelling viewing.![]()
Hope so, when it's done it will be lush.Take it the false grass is to fill in the bare patches?
The desso machines have left the sty now, i guess they will be on site at the lane. They had 3 machines working 24/7 the last few days, i guess they got behind, i notice they have also laid tarmac around the edges up to the edge of the pitch, i wonder if tarmac will be going on top of that white perimeter?
Even though I was critical of spending that sort of money on a pitch, it is looking quite attractive now I must say.
Is it still gonna be installed this summer? Overheard that its been cancelled, is this true?
If it is, we want answers.
Did you work for MI6 in 2003?
I don't understand why there not white. Probably some health and safety requirements thing.![]()
Looks like the steps have got a fresh coat!
Christ, looks like they've been done over by some scammers claiming to be Desso to me.For comparison, here's the Truffle Snufflers pitch.

Oh I wonder why they've gone for yellow then, seems strange to say the least. White would look so much more seamless and classy.I've been whinging about this for years. Yellow looks atrocious and there's no requirement for it (check the Emirates Stadium for instance).
White please.
Well what were the colour of our first ever steps? That would be a good idea, perhaps with thin red lines in them too![]()

When you say no requirement, it could be a decision prompted by the local Safety Advisory Group.
Aha. I just remember reading in one if Simon Inglis' books that it's not part of safety legislation. Maybe that's the answer.
Still offends my sense of aesthetics though.![]()

Why has our pitch been done differently? Are we actually having Desso aswell?
I think it's been explained on here before, Desso can install in one of two ways. Either the grass seed goes in first and the artificial fibres after, or vice versa.
W*dnesday's was done with the fibres first, grass after. ours was grass first and now the machines have arrived to insert the fibres. That explains why our pitch looks greener than theirs.
Or something....although of course if you go on *wlstalk, there's hundreds of pages explaining how their's is the real deal and ours isn't![]()
