Desso Pitch..

The pitch is ok, yesterday we would have been waterlogged and possibly had the rain been a bit heavier the game would have been off, and as a bit more it does wear because the bit where the players used to warm up at the kop end is worn and patchy, so it's not bulletproof, have to agree, when opposition come over they seem to enjoy it, our players seem to take it for granted, just like wearing our shirt...

Thought I would bring this to the top of the forum..........

LOOKS FAB-U-LUS - it's as though it hasn't been played on, and can contribute to some of the football we were treated to today.

£850,000 well spent - well done FA CUP run...............and dare I say Cloughie for helping to get the money.

It cost a hell of a lot more than that.

Went on the tour before the game today and John Garret was saying that they also had the under soil heating replaced and from that they discovered that the boiler wasn't powerful enough, using 3 times more water so got a well installed under the stadium to recycle water, not enough water pressure etc etc. They uncovered about 5 or 6 different things that needed fixing as a result of the new pitch/new undersoil heating. Cost over £2,000,000 in total.

The sad thing is, that's the most interesting part of the tour... ;)

Make sure nobody tells that lot over at S6. They were creaming themselves 'cause they thought they'd spent more than us on theirs and now they're moaning about the current state of it. God knows what they must think knowing we invested more and it's payed off.

TBH, they can't really call it a tour. Walk through the players entrance, through the tunnel, into the technical area then into the directors box. Was interesting to hear some of the history though, I never knew Bramall Lane was "The First" for so many things.

Are they complaining about it? I'm guessing it is pulling up then?

is that right that they are complaining?

The interesting thing to me is they had the implants done first and grass after - opposite to ours. Desso said no difference apparently...........perhaps there is a difference........oh dear, unlucky piggies.

Course there is a difference. All that pigswill.

When I saw the thread title I expected a compilation of last summer's epic. I thought 'bloody Christmas not another repeat.'
