From reading their forum....it looks like Paul Warne uses similar tactics to how we played away at Hull.

Meaning Derby County don't care about possession, last 3 matches they've only averaged 33% possession
They defend deep in numbers making it really difficult for opposition teams to create chances.
One said they do a lot of defending for long spells but never look like conceding, apparently it's not pretty but proving very effective.

Their attacks are all mainly on the break....where they hope to score....then sit back defending with a solid wall again.
So it could be a frustrating match.....no doubt Wilder will know what to expect and plan accordingly.

Always liked Warne as a person.....wasn't he the manager when Rotherham beat us in that night match at the Lane?
They played well that night...defending in numbers....then waiting for a breakaway chance where they scored.
 
Think there may be quite a few teams coming to the lane and playing for a draw this season.
Lets hope we can find a way around it or we may have to start taking a News paper with us....:rolleyes:

That tactic only works if you don't concede. Smash them from the start. I would like to see us kick off towards the Kop.

I live and work among them , very arrogant .
Don't mind Warne, I did some work for him years ago thru a mutual friend and he's a decent bloke not a big head or owt .
Sadly from my house I can see pride park I'm that close to the ground built on old swamp land. My weekend will be brilliant if we stuff them .
1-0 blades for me and moore to score.
 
Early goal massively needed if they play this way, Brian them out, can see this being a draw or out first defeat.

Met 3 different landlords here and all different areas . Want somewhere for 6 months before buying .
One was decent but sharing .
I'm home tomorrow night and will let them know by the weekend.
I'm sick of moving around different places but I know hulls the place. There's nothing derby but druggies begging .

Avoid Preston Rd , not for the feint of heart 😜
 
Ha ha , been everywhere mate I know it .
Some dodgy areas in the suburbs but it's what you make it and my 8th visit in 12 weeks for between 3 and 5 days and never had an ounce of trouble apart from the Leeds fans .
The women here so friendly aswell. The blokes are built like vikings but sound if you're OK with them.
Parks, sculcoates , avenues , brandsolme, Newlands I know em all well .
Rough but fair .
The hatred between East and West hull is weird but stems from the rugby .
Sheffield has far worse places than here.
 
Beverley Road heading to Newlands is worse than Preston Road, Newlands is a shithole .
Anlaby Road is dodgy as past the hospital .
I was up Preston Road visiting craven park rugby ground .

Can't be many places in Sheffield as bad as Orchard park ! That place is fucking grim mate

Derby u r clearly a big Blade currently living in Derby and it sounds like u r going to move to Hull. Any reason u don't live in Sheffield?

Strange question .
Moved away 7 years ago , see no reason to return to sheffield unless you know otherwise .
Had a much more life experience moving away . There's nothing in sheffield that would bring me back although I stay often for weekends.
