Look where the ref is and he never saw it (yeah right)
To be fair, it's Ollie Burke here for us. Even if you take the goalkeeper out of the picture and imagine Luiz isn't fouling him, he still gleefully toepegs it at the corner flag and topples over like the world's fastest toddler.
I said the same thing. Looking at the stills makes it look far worse than it did in real time. What really annoyed me was that the ref was only shown stills on the replays, so couldn’t judge whether Bryan was closing the gap down, he could only see how far away he was. And the ref was right behind the incident, so arguably had the best view of anyone!!
Doesn’t mean he isn’t denied a goal scoring opportunity...To be fair, it's Ollie Burke here for us. Even if you take the goalkeeper out of the picture and imagine Luiz isn't fouling him, he still gleefully toepegs it at the corner flag and topples over like the world's fastest toddler.

It's nonsensical mate. But I "think" the reason for the difference is because of the double jeopardy rule. We got a penalty so the odds were stacked in our favour.Which one of these is a red card for denying a goal scoring opportunity .. hands up if you know the correct answer

My point exactly. Had he seen it again in real time.....What really annoyed me was that the ref was only shown stills on the replays, so couldn’t judge whether Bryan was closing the gap down, he could only see how far away he was. And the ref was right behind the incident, so arguably had the best view of anyone!!
Correct. Definitely not a goalscoring opportunityTBF the ref here probably thought “well it is Oli Burke so....”
That's pure fucking poetryTo be fair, it's Ollie Burke here for us. Even if you take the goalkeeper out of the picture and imagine Luiz isn't fouling him, he still gleefully toepegs it at the corner flag and topples over like the world's fastest toddler.
VAR is a disgrace.
It has been royally shown up to be the corrupt controlling mechanism that it quite clearly has been set up to be.
Money talks in all walks of life.
Had high hopes for it.
Finished with it.
Thankfully we won't have to put up with it next season also linesman can put his flag up straightaway instead of the delay we get in the Prem. Roll on next season.
100% corrupt. As are most things in the world where Billions are at stake. Big business, governments, and sports.
Fuckin sick of it.
UTB
And whenever they are asked to go to the screen you know it's because they have basically been told they got it wrong so you know a turnover is coming. The screen should be only if the ref thinks it will help them, before they make a tough decision in my opinion. Plus today it wasn't even a proper playback but a still. No indication of the movement of the players or where the ball was heading. What really annoyed me was that the ref was only shown stills on the replays, so couldn’t judge whether Bryan was closing the gap down, he could only see how far away he was. And the ref was right behind the incident, so arguably had the best view of anyone!!
He's Ashley Sestanovich without the criminal record.Correct. Definitely not a goalscoring opportunity
I've figured out who he reminds me of. Forrest Gump when he starts playing American Football![]()
Correct, if a pen is given then a goalscoring opportunity hasn’t been denied ...It's nonsensical mate. But I "think" the reason for the difference is because of the double jeopardy rule. We got a penalty so the odds were stacked in our favour.
It's shit, but I think that's the reason.
