No pace, no passion, no team spirit. Nothing.

Hammond going down with cramp on 58 minutes says so much. He's not even professional enough to keep fit, same for Baxter.

Has anyone ever seen more tippy tappy shit, especially involving the keeper,than shown by Wigan today? Put it this way, if both managers want "proper football"...then how come Wigan can pass a ball moderately well while we are just rubbish on the ball? No one challenged all the fucking poncing around at the back, as united are spineless, gutless, and clueless.
 
Think this thread is an apt place to discuss Nadders' interview. He seems under the impression that the game was alright (aside from panning them for mistakes in both goals).

Listening in blindly hoping for a bit of an apology for the capitulation (20,000 fools on a horrible day).
 
Sadly tezza that's going to be the reality for more and more of us. How in gods name that shitheap attracts20k in piss pouring rain like today, just beats me. Silent as a fucking mortuary, people staring at you if you shout , eg when the ref let us restart with a Wigan player ten yards inside our half, shaping to receive a through ball . Priceless.

It's not the players fault they aren't any good but what have the management of the club been doing? We've been "building" for years but we seem to be going backwards every season.

Still have a toothless attack, still have a shocking defence. Was obvious at Gillingham on the first day of the season they weren't promotion material. Summer wasted and, barring a miraculous turnaround, another season wasted.

For fucks sake United.

Lack of effort is a major problem, and oneAdkins is evidently unable or unwilling to address. Letting a player like Sammon start while McNulty is loaned out suggests he is a bigger idiot than he looks..hard to believe I know.
 
I daren't say anything about Baxter as I sound like a broken record ,but everything was there today ,including losing the ball cheaply leading to a goal. He plays we have no shape ,he plays we concede goals ,he plays we lose ,get rid of this overweight bag of shit and his technically best player myth ,complete piss taker of our club ,one of the worse players we have had the misfortune to employ.
 
So much for the people on here who say they can forgive a lack of talent, but not a lack of effort. There were still, unsurprisingly boos today, even though I think the players tried hard enough, they just don't have enough talent or ability to either stop teams, keep possession or create chances.

We need some players with ability ASAP.

There is a certain degree effort but it's spectacularly inadequate given the players we have. Baxter and Coutts both want to stand still and pick passes. Hammond wants to sit deep and be a shield. Only Basham covers the ground but he's really not the man you want receiving the ball in attacking positions.

Each of that triumvirate of stasis need to be willing to be substituted after 70 mins because they've run themselves in the ground. But that only happens in the big cup matches doesn't it lads?

I truly can't wait until that midfield becomes nothing more than a bad memory.

Half time their players did close and long passing drills. Our players booted the ball to each other in pairs 25m apart and Howard was just a in a laff.

That's why they can moderately well

It really is as simple as that. Anything good we had was sold and now we are left with this aging bunch of players on their way down the footballing ladder. The boos towards them are misguided in my opinion. I think they do try. I just think they aren't good enough to play for a club with expectations like ours. It's frustrating watching them because they really are garbage players but it's the people above who have ensured they are here at all.

Remember, we've managed to pay these third division players way above their worth. It's not their fault, as such, but I wouldn't shed too many tears for them.

He was one of the better players, along with basham... Both get subbed, Hammond stays on.

In Adkins defence, Baxter looked fatigued...

There is no excuse at all for a 30 year old PROFESSIONAL sportsman to get cramp after 60 mins... I'm 38, I drink, eat shite (occasionally) and compete in triathlon for up to 6hrs per race. I've ridden 4 hrs at a time where I've felt twinges, but that's 4 times more than Hammond could muster. Cramp is something you deal with through diet, training and fluids. Footballers shouldn't get cramp after 1 hr!!!!
 
No team fears us. Wigan today, like most teams who've played us at BL were comfortable enough to keep attacking at 2-0 up. No one takes the lead against us and then mans the barricades anymore. They nearly all go out for another goal.

Yeah i've noticed that. Teams just attack, attack, attack against us. Probably because our defence is one of the worst in the league but even in our Premiership days I have never seen teams attack us like they have this season. Most away sides play like the home team

So what was 23 year oldbaxters excuse for cramp Swiss just before he went off ? To say he was one of our better players is a joke ,he was utter shit and gave the ball away in typical Baxter fashion for the 2 nd goal. He is a liability and has taken the piss out of us since he's been here. To see him slagging Billy Sharp off today for not moving so everyone could see says everything about him.We said after the 2nd goal let's see who has bottle here and who hides, 2 minutes later he isdown with cramp and taken off. My mate is a Baxter fan and even he was disgusted. Should have sacked the no mark during g one of the many opportunities we have had.

Don't get me wrong, Baxter was poor second half. He was shite. He was unfit and as I've said there's no excuse for the lack of fitness at this time of the season.

That said, he was one of the better players, but isn't that more to do with his team mates being awful too?

As for Sharp, he's a trier. I like him but watching him today:
First half: ran around with the dire Sammon waltzing and neither connecting. Sharp ended up out wide too often for a central goal poacher. The width allowed breaks from Baxter through the middle.
Second half: ran around. As the main striker he was rarely in the middle and worked hard. Gave no support to Adams and Adams needed that experience striker to guide him in a 4-5-1 with Baxter and Adams in behind. Baxter didn't nothing and Adams looked lost, the more this continued the more sharp ran around...

Apart from one burst forward and shot wide I thought he was utterly atrocious. I don't agree that he was one of our better players, and what's more, to compare any single player to that lot is to give the easiest of easy rides. :)

It's certainly not to say he was decent, he was just one of the least shite players in an awful game

That's about right. There was one point in the second half where he picked the ball up on half way and started to break with it and then just stopped cause no other fucker bother to go forward with him. He just stood there with his arms out as if to say "What the fuck are you all doing?"
