Dean wants to leave, he's on a free in the summer.. Why wouldn't they get some cash for him while they can ala us?

Anything is possible, just when your signing players from the division above they aren't usually first team regulars. Also if a player is stalling on a new contract it is because he believes he can do better elsewhere, that isn't usually to a club in the division below.

Like I say anything is possible, but I just can't see it happening. Be nice to be wrong on this one!

I think we're a better team for having him in there. Some legs alongside him would be great though, Basham to centre half, Collins can go find a club in league 2, I can't stand that he's still at our club.

Harlee Dean expects to leave Brentford in the summer as the club are still not holding talks regarding a new deal.

The Bees had offered the defender a new contract at the start of the campaign under Marinus Dijkhuizen but talks broke down quickly with the 24-year-old.

Dijkhuizen was sacked in September and, since then, Brentford have not returned with a better deal and are content to allow their star defender to leave for nothing at the end of the season.

Dean said: “There are no talks ongoing. It's not down to the manager. I've got a great relationship with him but it's not his call. It's all I can say.

“It's not down to me. I'm concentrating on playing my football on the pitch. I'm a Brentford player until the end of the season and I'll give my all on the pitch.”

Dean has made 159 appearances for the club since originally joining on loan from Southampton in November 2011.

He signed permanently in 2012 and has scored five league goals for the club but hasn't found the net since scoring the equaliser against Fulham in November 2014.

I've just looked and it's all there but he's not a blade, he's one of those weird studenty types that purely watches match of the day and plays on FIFA a lot.
