How many of those are guaranteed first team starters who will give us 30+ games in a season? How many of them are going to improve?

The wages amongst that lot are massive, and that’s actually become more important than transfer fees. What were the transfer fees that Luton paid for Townsend & Barkley. More & more players are choosing to run their contracts down these days. Freeing up high wages from players in decline will give us a lot of options in the summer.

Of course, it will require smart scouting & recruitment, which is another matter……

Norwood he was given a 1 year extension for this season turns 33 in April. He didn't deserve it ,he is not the Norwood of old ,Doyle showed what Norwood couldn't do last season in the Champ.

I fail to understand the managers rationale when asked to comment about renewing Egans contract in direct comparison to the comments he has made regarding the renewing of our #9s contract.

I do wonder what kind of message this sends to Egan, who has been a stalwart of our squad for many years and would be very difficult to replace.

The charm offensive directed elsewhere goes largely unnoticed by the masses by way of contrast .
