Wilder has definitely improved the squad but they need to gel and learn how to finish.

Replace Done, Basham and DCL with quality and bring in a backup keeper and CB and we will be sorted.

Hussey was our best player on the pitch for me. Their pacey winger never got the better if him and he also contributed plenty up top. Always involved. Duffy was weak for me tonight. Never took his man on turned inside all the time. Needs to do better. Fleck not mobile enough but solid. Clarke should have scored 6 by now the chances he's wasted. Nutty looked good for about 15 mins when he came on then disappeared. Set DCL up with an unmissable chance but... DCL has much to improve on. never in the game. Sharpe wtf. Never looks like getting a goal. Centre halves both look decent but not attacking balls in the air enough. A few green shoots but lots to do Mr Wilder.

We could have won by three or four but we didn't put our chances away. To twice hit the bar in the second half of extra time summed it up. Crewe didn't give up and took their chances. Duffy looks a threat, Hussey been hit and miss, I thought he was better than on Saturday. If only Calvert Lewin had taken his chance. I hope he makes it, but have to admit that I've not been convinced so far.
