Is it just me but everytime you read someone posting "I hope we sign Cannon and ......." I go scouring websites looking for a player called Ball. (Although Star may call it that we are signing Alan Ball following his spat with Currie).

Second half(s) - nothing happening, and not particularly proactive leading to disappointment


Doesn’t feel like we’re being active in the 3 players wilder reportedly wants including loans. Were much more likely to lose something valuable than add sadly - and the odds of us being able to add three in a day seems low when it usually takes us a week or two to wrap anything up

I’d be fine with no movement today but the squad isn’t really complete with no forward depth or left winger or right back depth.

But I do think if one or two pieces like and anel / hamer go without signing significant reinforcements off the back of it - that probably costs us any chance of promotion.

Other than a loan signing I can't see any permanent deals being done until someone leaves first. It's been the story of our transfer window so far, and that's unlikely to change while the takeover is still in limbo. I don't expect much movement, if any other than a loan, until at least early evening.

Transfer deadline day always makes me laugh. All summer you hear how we've been working on deals for weeks/months and yet on deadline day teams can suddenly sign players in a matter of hours.

Not sure where all the negativity is coming from all of a sudden.

If we hadn’t signed anyone except a couple of frees all summer, then we signed O’Hare, Cooper, Moore and Raj Sakyi in the last week, everyone would be on here saying we’re going to win the league.

We do our business early (for once) and now everyone is complaining!

We all know the squad is thin but it was never going to be a one window revolution. We’ve signed some top champ talent and have got some good youngsters coming through for back up. We’re not the finished article but it’s exciting, especially with the change to a more positive formation.

The rest of the big teams in the division look in similar states of flux. I’d be more than happy with the window with no more outgoings or incomings (except trusty replacement). I think we’ll be around the top 6 at Xmas, which is OK.

If we can get one or two more in on loan then great. If not, lets get on with it and go again in Jan.

Just don’t sell Hamer!

We're 4 games into the season. I'm not thrilled with our lack of action recently but to say "we have no one who can score and Wilders tactics are wrong" after 4 games is a stretch

People have been complaining all Summer that United don't talk and hardly every communicate.
Sounds like you've been listening to the rumour mill and believing it all.

Regards sales I've keep repeating our situation.
We do not need to sell anyone....however (like at Man Utd and Liverpool) every single player could potentially be sold.
However if we value Hamer at 20 million, then why would we sell him for 20 million?
Exactly......we'd only sell at 25 to 30 million and even then we'd only do this if we have replacements and better players lined up.
So the Hamer sale is theoretically possible but very unlikely.

We've had a really good transfer window to date.
Just lacking a striker, which obviously is really important, hopefully we'll bring in Cannon.

In a window where Burnley, Leeds and Luton (our biggest rivals on paper) have all had to sell their best players, the Blades have managed a significant rebuild without losing our biggest saleable assets in Hamer, Anel, Souza (yet…..)

Yes we are still a few positions short in terms of real depth but we’ve cleared the awful transfers from last year making a profit so on the whole I think the club deserve a bit of praise for once. Given the doom and gloom at the start of summer u think most would have taken this window
