I think the clue was in the manner that Wilder described the people at Manu who were happy for the deal to go ahead. They were the "football people". Maybe the "money people" were/are unhappy at what we were offering as a contribution to wages and loan fee. Feels like it's all still in the balance.

I’m thinking this DDG development might not be such great news for us. Deano now sees that his route to the MU number 1 shirt is effectively blocked for the next 4 seasons. MU aren’t going to let Him out on loan in the last year of his contract they want him to sign a new contract.
