If Sharp could pass on a tenth of what he knows to some of the other first teamers, let alone youngsters he'd be a top coach.Or do we have the coaching methods and personnel to do it ourselves?
I think we do have the staff and facilities to do that. We may also have a good opportunity to develop him as we will have a striker clear out post-relegation. Mousset will leave, and if Swansea go up they will buy McBurnie back i think.I'd love to know how much Duncan Ferguson put in to make DCL the player he is today.
Could we unearth another? Is Tyler Smith the next DCL? Will it require a move to a club who recognises that talent and invests the time and effort into a young player that will end up becoming a full international?
Or do we have the coaching methods and personnel to do it ourselves?
I think Unsworth was alluding to an up front fee of £900k rising to £1.5m on various triggers. I think there is a 15%sell on clause in our favour. In a recent interview with David Unsworth he stated he couldn't believe how cheaply Everton got him for.
I've never had a problem with us selling to 'survive' or 'reinvest' its the amount of money we have sold for thats the problem.
Has any club ever sold 3 players for a total of.less that 10m to see the said 3 be worth 200m at some point in the future?
It begs the question of how football savy the 'people' doing the negotiating were. If Unsworth could see the potential in DCL why couldnt anyone left at the Lane?
Tyler Smith is looking a good prospect so far at Swindon as well. Hopefully be around the first team next season, if we go down, which I think most of us are resigned to now!Antwoine Hackford playing striker in our u18s looks like he will be class so the production lines still running.
Nice to see a lad from Arbourthorne coming up with that sort of talent
I'm so tempted to, to try and curse him...but I keep getting that feeling that we'll still get beat 4-0 but it'll just be that wazzock Iwobi or Richarlison or someone else! How many have triple captained him on FPL this week?!
After seeing his performance in THAT Bury match, I'm still bemused he's developed how he has, because he was bloody awful that day.
That match was definitely a low point! I can’t remember DCL doing anything apart from an attempted header maybe in front of our fans. After seeing his performance in THAT Bury match, I'm still bemused he's developed how he has, because he was bloody awful that day.
Chelsea are the type of club to pay £20m too much, so here's hopingLet’s hope he goes and it’s big money?
I think Everton only paid us about a million for him? If that’s right we should get quite a few bob?

It's a kilt!Talented, but 54 in 214 games is hardly World beating, still he's got his pink Prada handbag and his own handbag collection so must be doing ok![]()
Have Chelsea not taken a look at his injury record? Or do they have a miracle working medical team?
There is an old cliche about various forwards bringing a lot more to a team than simply scoring goals. In his case, it happens to be true. I also wonder how many he’d score in a team that wasn’t Everton.Talented, but 54 in 214 games is hardly World beating
You could say that about most players, I agree, but he's their star man up front and at least 5 have been penaltiesThere is an old cliche about various forwards bringing a lot more to a team than simply scoring goals. Can you clarify this bit.....You could say that about most players, I agree, but he's their star man up front and at least 5 have been penalties
54 goals in 214 games
Ok but are you saying there were other ones other than the 5 (at least) penalties that were a bit penalties, or partially penalties?54 goals in 214 games

Always felt that Everton have done us overWe should stop selling decent youngsters to Everton with a sell on fee. Jags was touted for big moves all his career and never left, same with DCL so far.
It’s also annoying that Maguire was sold for big money by Leicester and not Hull!
We’d get his Norwegian half-brother Torn ACLWe're signing his brother - ACL
