I still think its a bad move for DCL personally. I would have wanted to leave my makk at the club I suported myself. You might think that's easy for me to say without the opportunity to actually consider that DCL did, but why would I leave United which is my club? Especially when you know you'e just going to be playing under 21 football for probably at least 2 seasons. He might not have been a starter at our place but he was on the fringes and on the bench and considering the injury to Clarke, I'm sure he would have got a chance to impress over recent weeks. I'm not faulting him so much, just think its a bad move. At 23 yes he'll still be young, but at 23 players like Brian Deane who came from the lower leagues, then to us, was able to get two promotions and countless goals before he left for Leeds at 25.
DCL is more likely to be the next Jordan Slew than Brian Deane in my view, but I do think he's got a good attitude as a pro, but I can't see ho moving to Everton is going to give him regular football. Everyone always talks about how the under 21's isn't real football which matures players, why condemn yourself to seasons of that?
