What do you think about match?

I think 1-1, draw.

If Clough sticks with the same team again, we could easily be in for a thrashing.

Peterborough 74 - Blades 0.

We will have 3 players sent off, 3 players do their ACL, Ched will be spotted in the car park, Clough will be sacked 27 minutes into the first half, butler wont be in the team and will be spotted at Nando's prompting rumors that he is looking for a job cooking their chicken, fans will have a car park protest after the game until we spend at least £5m on a striker and show some ambition - doesnt matter who it is, or how good they are. spend £5m or we obviously don't have a pot to piss in. I will be returning my season ticket then off with TarquinDelouche to smash up some propa nawtee p'boro boys.

Can't fecking wait!

I have a hunch that given the poor showing so far Clough will treat this the same as Morgs did last year when Morgs took the team and set us up not to lose, to gain some confidence and pride back. This will only happen if we have the following team.

Howard
Alcock Collins McGahey Harris
Doyle
Flynn Davies Basham McEveley
Higdon

Negative as fuck but the rot needs to stop and Peterborough will rip us a new one if we use the same tactics as the first two games.

Flynn only gets in there as he is acting as a second right sided defender. Basham on height.
Scougs dropped as he is clearly not fit and Reed as he is not ready to play in a backs to the wall battle.
Harris keeps his place as he has no real competition for LB.

Having created only one chance on Saturday we have to rely on Peterborough giving away a silly free kick. Collo there to add one more target (other than Higdon) in the mixer.

Subs: Turner, JCR, Murphy, Porter, Butler, Dimaio, McGinn

3-0 to Peterborough, we are mile away from PNE, Posh and Bristol.

Too negative and too frightened to go and attack teams, Higdon is a Blackwellesque lump and will be lucky to get 10 this season.

Then again constantly playing a lonely isolated forward up front will reduce the amount goals your team scores, whoever the lucky number 9 is.

0-0 draw again, think we might just be able to manage a clean sheet, we were able to do so last season away to the surprise of many. We could sneak a goal and the win, we certainly need something out of this game after our rough start.

No one else is lookin forrard to dis one then?! Oakham ales, dat lob sided barge, a decent owd ground in the town centre (even if they did not gi us the terrace) and SUFC picking up points. Posh are average. They were nowt special last year and they've lost their best player since then. We were in terrible form last term, yet a bit o muck n nettles n up n attem from Morgs and we completely nullifed them. Could have nicked it n all if Taylor's shot had been heif n inch lower. We've been gash so far, but we'll change things tmorra and get a result. Have faith muckers. Get thi sens darn t Charters abart heif 5 n owd Olle ll cheer thee all up wi some first class banter.

“We’ve lost some big players and some of the ones who did so well last season haven’t got going yet,” Clough said. “Murph (Jamie Murphy) looks like he can’t go past anyone at the moment and Flynn (Ryan Flynn) has got no run. The same goes for Scouggs (Stefan Scougall) too.

“We’ve asked them if they’re okay, if everything is all right, and they’ve told us yes.

Ugggggh, that depressed the crap out of me reading that this morning

As Im holding out untill after this game to cash in my bet on us not being champions we'll defo win.

1-3 Blades Win

Hope some of you lot will be taken off suicide watch then

If we play the same line-up as we did in the first 2 league games we will probably lose. The side is not balanced and has too many players who are easily pushed off the ball ....... the poor refs at this poor level don't give a s**t whether its a foul !!

I'd prefer to see us play 4-4-2 and hold the ball, like we used to be able to do.

Like many on here I am concerned about our start, on current form we get beat convincingly!!! I purchased tickets for this one with pre season optimism looking forward to my first away game. Now I'm not looking forward to it so much, but at least it won't be a long trip home :) would take a draw!!!!

I just feel for Kazzare 13.
English obviously isn't his/hers first language and after asking a fairly basic question they get treated to such beauties from Ollie as:

"Get thi sens darn t Charters abart heif 5 n owd Olle ll cheer thee all up wi some first class banter."

They must think all that hard work learning English was a reight waste o time!
;)

Expecting a better performance tomorrow at least keeping them out would be an improvement.

................Howard
Davies Alcock Collins Harris
....................Doyle.................
JCR......Scougall....Basham..Murphy
.....................Higdon..............

Our best Centre-back Alcock to win his third consecutive man of the match award.
Davies to once again create the majority of our chances from crosses and set pieces.
Collins to add experience, consistency and solidity at the back in place of 18 year old McGahey.
Doyle to be steady, inconspicuous "7 out of 10 Doyle" but that's what we need at the moment.
JCR to add the pace and ability to beat a man that will complement Davies better than Flynn.
Scougall and Murphy given the solid platform to start taking people on as they did last season.
Higdon to lead the line and get on the end of crosses.

Olle's English!

Last season we went there under Morgan after Weir's departure and basically played a 5-5-0 formation and got a nil nil draw (It irked Ferguson who accused us of parking the bus)

To be honest I would snatch your hand off to get a smilar reuslt this time, however a probabale two nil defeat a more likely result.

Should make for an interesting game they are having a few injury problems too.I love the the bit below about clubs inflate prices when they see us coming ,I thought that was our club's line.

Ferguson was thrilled with the win and the display, but also revealed that the club had made four bids for new players last week. He expects at least one to arrive at London Road on Monday (August 18).

Posh were without first-choice centre-backs Jack Baldwin and Gaby Zakuani today. They are also seeking a replacement striker for Britt Assombalonga, who scored twice for Nottingham Forest today, and another wide man.

Ferguson said; “We have been very busy behind the scenes. We made four bids for new players last week and didn’t quite get any of them over the line. I’d be very surprised if one, maybe two players didn’t arrive on Monday.

“We’re after players in various positions. Obviously we had a contingency plan in place for losing Britt and, although I didn’t expect to have to move this quickly, the centre of defence is an area that we always felt we might need to strengthen.

“I do believe clubs inflate prices when they see us coming though. I even told the chairman to reduce one bid last week as I felt it was too much!

Drop the square pegs in round holes approach. Get back to the core of last season.

We lost three key players last season but have tried to replace double that with the first two team selections.
