I bet your happy i was right on this oneAlcock has been a success at centre back and our best player in both matches.
Davies has created most of our goals and the majority of our chances from right back.
I'm not sure why the blatant solution to our problems is to move and/or drop the pair of them.
How about swapping out 18 year old (only 6 matches) McGahey if you want more experience in at Centre Back.
Try looking at Harris, Flynn, Scougall, Basham and Murphy if you want to take out the underpeforming players.
About 1300 i think,brilliant on a tuesday night after losing first 2,absolutely brilliant following.Looks a few there.
Frikin love our fans!
We have a much better manager than theirs. their big player sale cost more than ours. they can't believe they have so many points already. We cant believe we have so few points.
Typical United, just when we don't expect it 3-1 away win.
Is that all right for you BladesmanI can see us getting an early goal then this will suit how we set up,come on blades,do us proud for the first time this season.
I'm not going to say what i think the team will be as me and many others have got no where near to getting it right yet.
2-1 to the blades,Don't ask me why![]()
I bet your happy i was right on this oneI'll accept your apologies

I don't know why he's playing Davies if Higdon isn't playing. He should have played JCR if he wasn't playing Higdon imo.
I said Davies should be playing RM when playing,to provide crosses in better areas for Higdon. When did Davies score by the way,oh,it was when Higdon came on.Yes, delighted with the win.
Also delighted that the player I've consistently championed got the winner. Even when others wanted to see him dropped.
No apologies necessary from anyone for holding different opinions on who should play though![]()

You quite clearly stated that Davies had to play RB and Alcock CB do you still stick with that?
Lets just clear one thing up,i thought he would have played JCR on the right because he started McNulty,no Higdon last night so i thought we wouldn't have needed Davies as much, that bit was wrong but atleast i admit it.I think that implying we only won because the “tallest dwarf” (Alcock) was moved to right back is a bit simplistic and disingenuous.
There were a number of different important factors involved in producing an improved performance and a victory.
Playing Collins and Doyle added experience and solidity to the spine of the team. I’ve advocated that from the start.
I mentioned that we should look at removing some of the unfit / underperforming players. We did that (Harris, Scougall and Flynn).
Murphy started to take players on again. I said that was important and would have liked to have seen JCR doing it on the other flank.
It also sounds like we had a slice of luck for a change. ‘Boro hitting the post. A penalty appeal being turned down etc..
The goal that Davies scored came from a long throw and was nothing to do with where he played. He could have scored exactly the same goal if playing at right back.
I’ll reiterate that he has been involved in almost all our goals and chances so far this season and he’s a key part of the team at the moment.
Many people (yourself included) would have dropped him by now or not even started with him in the first place.
I note with interest that McGahey didn’t exactly cover himself with glory again and was voted the “smallest dwarf” by people who actually saw the match.
I expect us to sign a genuine attacking right back in the Brayford/Freeman mould soon and then almost everyone will be clamouring for Alcock to play at centre back again.
I certainly don’t think we’ve seen the last of him in that position and Davies will continue to be a key player also.

Its not the fact i wanted to drop him,it was the fact he was playing out of position at RB that i wanted sorting.Have a read through all our posts again and see if i mentioned Alcock and Davies been good together down the right hand side.
Oh and by the way, as to regards Davies go back to one of his old threads and you will see why i like Davies.
The team i'd play v Bristol City from the players we know who are fit are as follows:-
...................................Howard...................................
....Alcock........Mcgahey.........Collins..........Harris....
................................Basham......................................
........JCR.................Scougall................Murphy........
.................................Baxter.......................................
................................Ncnulty.....................................
please play Mcnulty,Baxter and Scougall down the middle where they belong.
Subs:Willis,Butler,Flynn,Doyle,Davies,De giralamo,Reed.
players not fit:Wallace,Higdon,
players not picked: Dimaio,Mcginn,Porter,Kennedy,Pailing,Khan.
You're in a bubble pal, what team should play against Bristol City that is,you know, first game of the season.A select few of us have advocated picking Davies from the very start of the season.
Others have gradually come around to our way of thinking.![]()
I was speaking to someone about davies and they said he used to be a right fitness freak, but then had a few issues,he then said if he gets it back he will be quality for us
