David Weir Playing Us Down

I saw that too. I thought it was very level headed and very sensible.

Nothing wrong with taking public pressure off a young team before the season starts.

I'll bet that he's not saying the same behind closed doors.

One thing I do like about him is that in all his interviews I'm yet to hear a single 'erm'.

Clever fellow he has probably looked at our history in the January window where we like to sell off our best, he knows he is up against it .
Sharpen up your war axe and slap on some war paint for that board room David.

I have to admit to biting my tongue about comments made by Weir, Doyle and Porter. Is it now a crime to aim for the top or something?

I am just hoping what DW says in the dressing room is different because expectation is different. I remain positive that we will have a good year, I just wish someone would come out and say, you know what we have a good team, there is a good spirit in the camp and we can get promotion. all together now

Nobody in their right mind would make us one of the favourites. If he had said we were, everybody would be saying he's deluded. A top 6 place is the best we can realistically expect. Anywhere in the top half would be a decent way to start the season, then try to kick on from there.

David Weir = a proper manager.

Smartly dressed on the touchline in jacket and tie.

No track suit. No baseball cap. No football boots and shorts (a la Warnock).

A proper dignified presence. A credit to the club.

When Warnock got us promoted and 30,000 turned up every week, it always took the edge off to see that bloke in the distance wearing a tracksuit. And as I was put to sleep on a weekly basis last season, the thing that stopped me becoming comatose was the knowledge that Wilson was in a suit.

:)

I couldn't give a shit what Weir wears.

Too right. Look at this scruffy tramp in his fraying jumper.
How embarrassed must Forest fans have been?
