I don't think he'll leave this window. They're asking for £40m+ & I just don't see who's going to pay it right now. If he rips it up in the first half of games in the Champs then maybe someone will come knocking in January, but it won't be us.

You might be right overall, but that supposed £40-50mill price tag is just tabloid gossip isn't it? i.e. No known source, very possibly made up. Or just Bournemouth floating their dream price.

There is a bigger picture.
On leaving, Brooks maintained he was keen to play under “Steady Eddie” Howe. Eddie gone.
More importantly (than being one of the most exciting players since TC) is Brooks himself. It’s clear Tufty is planning a B team, which is where Brooks fits in.
